Not sure it's easy with other languages for mallus, Tamil is closely related and the source derivative of Malayalam so it's easy for Malayalam and tamil for both to understand and speak with small efforts.

Manjummel boys is really worth movie from the Malayalam Industry. Few good and worth movies from Tamil industry are not recognised that is the sad part, recently I watched NAADU movie really hat's off to the movie team. I don't know how many of them know about this movie. Our tamil directors and tamil industry are also so talented and should appreciate them for crafting these kind of movie too.

20:47 I doubt Tamil people that they have not fully understood the detailing of the film. Like they don’t even know about the link between bhasi asking what’s god scene and bhasi seeing light from above scene.I think every Malayali know about it (mainly because the language) and the brilliance in the film. That’s the hit factor for Malayali audience. But i think for Tamil people the hit factor is Kamal Hasan and kodai mainly or that attracted the Tamil audience to watch the film. That’s why Malayalam cinema is too underrated. There are so much detailing that a malayali can only know or the makers deliberately target the mallu audiences in certain way. Other example is Premalu is a huge hit in kerala because the comedies and circumstances are highly relatable. But i doubt it goes the same way in other states. It might be a hit but not a huge as it deserves. Because the comedies are mainly mallu centric. Even if a mallu suggest this film to a non mallu. He cannot fully enjoy like a mallu guy. If the other audience manage to understand Malayalam movies like mallu, then there is no stopping for Malayalam cinema. They start to watch Malayalam cinema like every audience watching Hollywood films. Like a benchmark in Indian cinema.So Malayalam cinema have grown over audience. now The audience have to grow up. In short A Malayalam cinema is best made for mallus, other audiences are partially understanding it. That’s why it’s too underrated.If a mallu film is a hit in other audience even after they are understanding it partially. Just think of how much more can the film do if they embrace it fully.
