I did this in my 87 Prelude SE back in 1996. It had a blue interior, painted it flat black. We used a flexible primer though. Dyed the seats, door. everything I could. Sourced a new used grey/black dash.

Mine had the palmy blue interior when I got it. My most favorite interior color these came with. But I was dumb when I was younger and got rid of it and now it’s super hard to source

A saying i always say. Progress is progress even if you went outside. Knocked out one item and then the heat got to you or your body or whatever. You gave it the drive to get a piece of the puzzle added.

Looks like it turned out great. I never thought about using that for a headliner. It looks like the headliner turned out good too.

What ive learned the hard way is to use an adhesion promotor for plastic parts because the paint over time starts to peel if you don't i used this paint on my EF interior parts and after a year it looked really bad.

The adhesion promoter is more to help with paint flex and stuff right? The paint I used says it’s good to flex. Otherwise on body panels I always use that stuff

@@ChrisSadowski that's what i thought because it said it was for plastic and fabric, it looked great at first i went from brown interior to black but it started looking pretty bad after a year, on my DA i used adhesion promotor and so far so good.

I’ll beat that in mind. Worst comes to worst I’ll shoot them again with adhesion promotor. Thankfully They are easy to remove and shoot

I'm shocked how good the paint turned out because I've seen that stuff not work as well. I've seen many people end up using the SEM brand, but it's pricey! I hope to see some updates and seeing its longevity!
