@@Obie327 great. It will keep getting better and it is already faster than 3060ti in 1440p and in most games. Also better than 3060 in 3d work. Arc is Best card for video editing as it has best of the best industry leading media engines.

As of today, this video is 7 months old. I've heard Intel has significantly improved the performance through driver updates. It'd be worth a review again.

Considering the A770 16gb can be had for $300 seems like a decent option if you are willing to be an early adopter still. I'm thinking about grabbing one to play with just because they have 16gb memory, AV1 support and I want to play with hyper encode.

If everyone started working on video production, then those creators would have more competition that they can simply avoid by not making videos about it, and instead, hook people up on unproductive things like gaming (for 90% of "gamers" I mean, there are some people who do make money off of gaming so that's different).

So I really need the reliable information about a770 and rtx3060.. Because in my country both price same. Keep up the good work. By the way are those windows 10 pro product key legit. You after 6 month or year later Windows warning pop up or say change your product key when you put your key it doesn't work.

Just made a new build with i9 1300k and arc a770 when I put noise reduction on in DaVinci it just exports choppy footage, did you have this issue?

Thanks for the review. So sad that there aren't any good "budget" GPU's for DaVinci Resolve. If the 4070 had 16GB of VRAM, I would pony up the $600 for it. (I keep running out of VRAM on my current 8GB 2060 Super, so really looking for a 16GB card that won't break the bank.)

too bad they just offered the 4060ti version for 16GB.. nobody is interested in only playing in 1080p anymore. They could have offered it with the 4070 but whoever is in charge of Nvidias decision to only do it for lower cards must be dumb af.

I have a rx 5500m laptop, and it really lags when editing 4k video especially on 10 bit it's unusable. If I get a pc with 750 gpu will that be fine for that? I just want smooth 4k editing

If I understand Intel ARC+IGPU intel 12th or 3th is better than RTX 3060 12go in Davinci reselve Studio for encoding H.264, H.265 and maybe AV1 and VP9, only these worklows.

Hi, great Video! May I ask what settings you used for the Blender benchmark? My reason beeing, with Nvidia RTX Cards you can utelize the optix setting, which uses the ray tracing cores of the 3060. This is much faster than the Cuda setting (sometimes up to twice the performance). Intel is not using their raytracing capabilities at the moment, because their driver is not ready yet. Intel says oneapi rt is coming to blender, probably in summer. So it would be very interesting to see how the current intel state is compared to the cuda setting of the 3060. (without the raytracing cores) Maybe you can test that as well? Would be great to know. Thanks for the video anyway!

H265 in encoding is on par with Nvidia. Intel also supports AV1 encoding, which is a nice extra bonus

Their drivers can only get better, for me I'm not running studio ATM. So the a750 seems better with spending more money on the ram. DDR4 with a 13700k, then once the ram comes down in price ditch the cheap mobo and invest in DDR5.

Couldn't you still run ddr4 on ddr5 until you upgrade the memory stick. ddr5 is backwards compatible. It'll run the ddr4 as a ddr4 still

i just bought the ryzen 9 7900x ... should i buy this arc a770, rtx 3060ti or MSI Gaming Radeon RX 6750 XT 192-bit 12GB GDDR6 DP/HDMI..... i have a podcast and youtube channel. i stream and do live podcast while also editing in premiere pro. also wanting to play some games on stream as well. but if one if them is way better for editing and rendering but not to far off in gaming. i would rather that one as well. any help would be nice.

@@centurieos701 Bro, don't worry I've bought Intel ARC A750 3 days ago. It's quite awesome for the budget of Rs:20,300/-. It gives competition to 3060 8GB. You'll get driver updates every 10 days, so that won't get stuck in the lagging issues.

Nice benchmarks and thank you for putting some light on how these compare. But I have to make a correction on multiple comparisons in the second part of the video. If RTX 3060 has 100% of the performance and, say, Arc A 750 has 70% of the performance, then RTX 3060 IS NOT 30% faster than A 750. A 750 is 30% slower than RTX 3060, but RTX 3060 is 100/70 = 43% faster! There were many instances when the results was read as "RTX 3060 is X% faster than ARC" and the percentage was the difference in percentage points, not actual percentage better. If still confused about what I said, just get a simpler example: make the slower card perform only at 1%. Then it should be very clear that the faster card is not faster by 99%, when it's literally 100 times as fast.

It makes no sense you only compared the H264 and RAW codec but no H265 especially 4:2:2 codec. H265 4:2:2 HEVC encoding is the biggest weak point of Nvidia card but may be the strong point of Intel card. This is something I really want to know.

Holy crap this card sucks. I just tried it again today because I found it on sale. The drivers are a nightmare. Arc software crashes and freezes. Won't recognize a 3rd monitor. Loud as hell and the power consumption on idle is insane. I yanked it back out and put my 3060 back in. What a difference when something just works. I ran a few H264 and H265 exports in both Premiere and Resolve. Times were within 1% of each other. It's too bad. Was really hoping the second time around I'd have a better experience.

@@8020Alive You're not very forward thinking are you. The point to my comment is that as Intel develops ARC and they get better, they will become a bigger player faster if they get the consumer in at those lower prices. That's any new business, and Intel are still very new to AIBs. Once they establish themselves as a solid GPU player, which they seemingly will very soon because they have the resources to do so, they will inevitably raise the prices of the product to close to, possibly the same, and even right under AMD and NVidia in order to stay competitive. This benefits us all as AMD and Nvidia will be forced to stay competitive as well. Either way, the prices are NOT staying that low forever.

Intel arc gives sound issues with rebar on, when your speakers are connected to pc through the USB audio interface. Since most of the creators use USB audio interfaces I am surprised no one noticing this issue. Constant sound cuts... Can't work.... I think I will sell my arc a770 and get Nvidia....

Thanks for this video. I have a 3900x and 3060ti PC and a Macbook Pro M1, and the M1 beats it on timeline performance... The M1 is slower in h.264 rendering, but as I and can edit the original footage (Sony FX3 h.264 10Bit 4K 100fps), I can save soooo much time... It's sad because I don't want to go full on Apple, but I might in the future because its hardware decoders are too good 😪

It partially depends on the application and CPU. I have the RTX 3050 and RTX 3060 and put them both into a system with a decade old CPU. In Premiere Pro 23 was much less difference between them in that scenario than I would have expected for basic projects, so much of what he said about the 3060 would apply on that scale. In terms of the Arc 750, Puget Systems did some testing this month with the A770 16GB the new Premiere Pro 24 Beta and found significant benefits compared to Premiere Pro 23 for anyone without an iGPU. It outperformed the 4060 (they didn’t test the 3060) by 15-20% overall, both with and without an iGPU present, exceeding (or matching) the 4060 except in h.264 encoding (though Arc had a surprisingly big lead in decoding the same format) and RAW/BRAW footage. Would love to see more testing once Premiere Pro 24 is out of beta.
