Hines committed to USC. Notre Dame now needs Meadows like they need oxygen. They can turn this around if they land him and Robinson but if they whiff on all 3 of their top Wide Receiver targets then this staff, especially Mike Brown, has a lot to answer for

Not really Mike Brown's fault. ND is being negative recruited by the other schools due to having terrible WR production over the last few years... Mike Brown has no blame for that at all.

@@light333not to mention: Brown came in REALLY late in this cycle and was forced to play catch-up in some very big deal recruitments Vs some of the very best programs in the country(who all pay upfront NIL as a recruiting enticement).. the 2026 WR class will be all on Brown(whichever way it goes) but he has to get at least a partial pass for the way so many recruitments in this 2025 cycle have gone so far. 👍🏼☘

@@light333 Notre Dame gets negatively recruited in all aspects of recruiting regardless of position. Linebacker, QB, DE, etc. It doesn’t matter. It’s Notre Dame. We are always going to get negatively recruited. I’m not blaming Mike Brown, but these misses are unacceptable. So while it’s not entirely Mike Brown’s fault, something has to be done in terms of recruiting that position

Your exactly why Notre dame doesn’t need to join a conference, all teams that we aren’t even playing come to peek as to what the most prestigious university is doing with our program. Predictions in this game come down to so many intangibles that it becomes meaningless without inside information (and even then). As has been commented elsewhere, if the fit, scheme and treatment all line up the guy could still be gone in the next window... I am certain the departures en masse at WR are absolutely on the tip of LSU's recruiters every 5 minutes. It makes little sense to blame Brown for the environment he inherited. We can hope on Meadows, but someone (nudge nudge, wink wink) may just have to pull some strings on some money AND other somethings to make it an unrefusable offer. I don't care if its a one off, an unoffical act, a special media deal... We need to make it happen, and damn the torpedoes... and then we need to follow through and make use of the guy with our improved QB room. Nice reporting if scary, Singer. Kudos if you're right! You got Hiines right unfortunately... Let's see on the rest.
