Intellijel - Rainmaker Random Textures

Plenty more to come with the Intellijel Rainmaker but I just wanted to show how cool it is creating random textures by just randomising all functions with an encoder press. You can let the audio buffer chain across the FX to create distant smeared sound beds or clear it and start fresh each time. Loads of sound exploration.

Lohacker - it won't let me reply to you for some reason so ... Absolutely! I should have said that in the video. Trigger can be assigned to the random function. Although for this demo I didn't have a clock or pattern I wanted to use steadily as the different sounds develop over time in different ways. It's killer with beats and random triggered from an accent pattern.

This is a great demo. Just a quick question, the wet seems to be at max, but you still hear the bass note, is it possible to hear just the delay and none the original sound?

Yes it can be totally wet. Not sure what my routing on the module or going into the module regarding mixing elsewhere was for this patch. Probably used this as a send effect and had the dry up on the mixer.

reminds me of edge of chaos theory and where noise can self organise

organised noise is a good way of describing many of the sounds. When you start bending those with CV too it's really powerful.

there's the following comb filter modes - UNIFORM FLAT MIDDLE EARLY COMB FIBONACCI FLAT COMB LATE COMB REV. FIBONACCI ESS COMB RAND UNIFORM RAND MIDDLE RAND EARLY RAND FIBONACCI RAND FLAT RAND LATE RAND REV. FIB. RAND ESS
