Shooting the enemy is not always about hitting, it is about forcing them to maneuver and burn energy, while also having a chance of crippling them. Pulling enough lead to hit a human pilot often means you take a peek and pull the enemy below the nose to shoot, then let them back in sight to see how you need to correct
