That's really cool! I think it's interesting how the brain will default to older settings sometimes. Recently I went to give my zip code for something, and I automatically gave the zip code from my childhood home ... a town I haven't lived in for over 20 years.

@@JBGreenASMR absolutely! And I work, speak and write in English daily. Like, you managed to confuzle a pretty confuzle-proof brain xD Congrats! Memo for watchers: if you're neurodivergent and non native English speaker, the part with the shapes and colours might induce your brain to think at a much different rate than your mouth can speak English while actively focusing on doing both (I have a stammer: it was a hilarious five minutes x*D). Enjoy the ensuing chaos, folks!

The original anxiety interruption video for me remains one of my most essential - not my absolute favourite, mind, but _necessary_ videos in my life. While I enjoyed the other two, the emphasis on visual content over descriptive and visualization driven dialogue detracts from my primary reason for listening - treating anxiety-induced insomnia (that often turns into anxiety ABOUT insomnia...). That's not to say I don't appreciate the latter videos and their comedy, but that I absolutely adore the first one and would love to see (or, well, hear) more of that sort of thing for when times are rough! Thank you for all these compilations. They're very good and I look forward eagerly (but not impatiently!) to your next original works.

I'd love to do another one like that at some point! It required more writing than a lot of my other videos, so I've been putting it off, but I did really enjoy making it.

It's the pacing of the visualisation I find especially helpful. There's another ASMRtist I found recently, simply called Rebecca ASMR, who does very fast paced 'follow my instructions' vids - the pacing has very similar effect on my brain.

Part 1 has been my favorite asmr video since it was released. I love the pacing, the inclusivity of the introduction, the subtle sound effects and overdubs, the finger snapping, the repeated questions, the well written script and general tone of voice. Never fails to relax me after many hundreds of views.

I come back to this video every time, it's so helpful. I love the simplicity of the tests, even though they do go fast sometimes, only having to think about simple shapes, colors, and numbers is such a reprieve from the oversimulating world around me. Thanks JB!

Part 1 has been my companion through some of the hardest times in the last few years, tonight it’ll help me get asleep before an important interview tomorrow. I think the fact I have to imagine the things that Im interacting with to follow the directions is a big part of it. It engages so many parts of my brain, while also letting me close my eyes, so I’m basically guaranteed to fall asleep

In my opinion, this is the wrong direction. The Billboards of text is a drag, and then it kinda got worse. I'm not trying to insult you... just constructive crisism. I guess there's only so much you can do with lights and ASMR... so let's just live within the boundries.

@@JBGreenASMR The video. Because 1) Reading text is not relaxing in ASMR. then 2) Not as bad, but the pointing to items on the pages wasn't.. well, I didn't find it relaxing either. But I cannot explain why not when other eye-exam charts that do the same are relaxing... Maybe because of the constant changing? I dunno. But I'm a fan of much of your earlier stuff.

@@GregMoress This is a compilation. The first video is over 3 years old, and has almost 200k views (if I'm remembering correctly). I understand that it sounds like it's not your thing, but I'd consider it a successful video and it got a ton of positive feedback. The other two are both over a year old, and also did pretty well view-wise. Again, I can appreciate that these particular videos aren't appealing to you personally, but they do incorporate elements of the "fast and chaotic" genre of ASMR that a lot of people really enjoy. That's one of the challenging things about working in ASMR-there are so many styles and sub-genres, and many people have strong feelings about what they do and don't prefer. I like making a variety of styles, and probably always will. :)
