What a cool event! I love that Red Bull keeps sponsoring random events like this. I get that it's not the most grueling or extreme race but it's fun to watch none the less.

Reminds me of military water obstacle courses but just much much shorter and with very simple obstacles.

I'm sorry but being swimmer and having climbed a fair bit, I can honestly say this would NOT be THAT difficult aside from the coldness of the water. 160m swim at the start? That's almost the shortest distance that we race. They really hyped this up much more than it is.

That's like saying the 100m sprint is not that difficult - the fact that it isn't endurance doesn't mean it's not difficult in its own way!

Tim Lingard 100m sprint isn't difficult? a decent swimmer could do 100m sprint in no time-comes from a elite swimmer, and i know the struggle i my self am greater at 200m and down but thats because each swimmer is either a sprinter og a long distance swimmer

Tim Lingard I am partially making that point but greater so, the fact that none of the athletes in the video are sprinting or even going remotely fast. But yes with what you said. I will argue to the death that sprint events are not as difficult as long distance. I don't care how hard you are trying for 50 ish sec. It can never be as difficult or require as much preparation as a longer events.

Beeing a swimmer myself I agree that none of those guys look like competetive swimmers. But have you ever tried sprinting 160m with a wetsuit and shoes on, pretty sure your style wouldn't look to great. Also it seemed like they were in it more for the fun (guy doing a summersault of the wall) and it does look realy fun and if they ever did this somewhere near me, Id love to go!

J Jones I didn't notice the shoes before. Thats a good point! Me too though, I would totally do this it would be a ton of fun.
