This is incredible - thank you so very much for creating this! One small thing I noticed is that the elevation (climb and descent) seems off for both sections (higher than they should be) - according to this the total climb would be over 23,000'. Based on other GPS data I've seen the total climb, from Table Rock to Oconee, is more in the neighborhood of 17,000 - 18,000'. Thanks again - this is really amazing!!!

A labor of love! There is no other way to describe this. I can't imagine how much time went into this project. Thank you so much! The most frequent comment I heard on the trail was the lack of Guthook. Your interactive map certainly fills that void. My wife and I hiked the FHT from Oconee to Table Rock in early April this year. It was an amazing walk on some of the best maintained trail I have ever been on. The infrastructure on the FHT is mind boggling. The treadway is so smooth, one could push a baby stroller on some parts. Trails in the Whites, where we live, are nothing like the FHT. Everywhere one looks, there is evidence of love and care for the Foothills Trail. You and the Conservancy do an amazing job! Thank you!

This is an absolutely monumental Herculean impressive effort on your part. I for one am throughly impressed. I thru-hiked the Foothills in 2017 and the Appalachian Trail in 2019. Your map is very "Guthook's" like and it will be appreciated and valued by the hiking community. The only feature that would elevate your efforts to near perfection, would be providing an option to download the map in order to be able to track one's progress via GPS. I will be headed out to the Foothills trail come April for a second thru-hike and will be using your map for planning purposes. Not sure that there would be anything that I could do to help but if you think there is any assistance I might provide, let me know. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Sir, you have done a great service for hikers with your work this map. If I could ask a few basic questions: Is any season better or worse than others to hike the trail? ( bad insects, less water sources, etc.) I would imagine that summer is a bit hot. Is from west to east the best direction to hike? It appears that around 10 miles is about the most distance between water sources. Is this true? I remember working in central South Carolina (Hartsville) many years ago. The spring seemed to be really early, about February. Also, I will never forget the miles of peach tree blooms, seemingly to the horizon.
