think about it. he makes you go a certain amount of spaces, then removes the two things in the front. then he makes you go back that same number, making you biased to put your finger on the city. for example, 15, minus 15 minus two, is 2. 5, minus 5 minus 2, is 2, and so on, which is the thing that's going on here. then he makes it so that either way you go, 4 spaces whichever way, it lands on the moon. i know what i wrote was long and unnecessary, but, i enjoyed feeling smart :) good trick

I figured this out in 3 seconds. No matter what number you choose once you move and move back the same number you will always land on the city/buildings the rest is just show u will always land there because after he takes the 3 arrows out the same number back is equal to landing in the city

if you did it without cheeting or skipping it always works BECAUSE, he makes you go back and equal number of times you went forward and regulated your number of moves, taht way you always land on the same spot going backwards (three past first circle, notice that there where three starting circles that he removed) and then from there on everyones on the same spot no matter what becasue he cotnrolls your moves. Awsome but easy trick

everyone.....this WILL work if you listened to his instructions carefully. Im betting for all of you who it didn't work for didn't listen to him from the beginning. he said to pick a number from 5 to 15. I see some of you saying you chose 1??????? listen to his directions. its simple math thats how this trick works. you can pick any number between 5 - 15 and it will always come out to be the moon. simple math.....

Just maths... He could have used magic numbers 3 - 12 and it would still leave you at the city card on counting back clockwise. Not sure why he chose 5 - 12 and not 3 - 12, but that's neither here nor there and just an observation. Maybe it was to make it seem more mysterious. Obviously the first two cards before you reach the first card with a star picture will automatically use up 2 of the moves from the number you pick, and that forces your ultimate destination. The star card will always be number 3 when you start the trick. Based on there being 12 cards in all and he has already forced you to be 2 places short of where you would be had you started at the star (by adding those two cards he took away), you will always end up on the city card when counting back clockwise. The rest is just elimination until there are enough cards whereby no matter which way you go (clockwise or counter clockwise) you will always end up on the sun. Edit: On re-reading my post I realise that still doesn't explain things mathematically. I got a D in Maths by the way so I haven't a clue, but I know how he did it (lol)

if you ended up anywhere other than the moon, you did it wrong, its set up to no matter where your number was to begin with, you will end up on the right side after you go in the opposite way cuz you have to move three past the start cuz he takes the first three peices away after your first move.

i've solved it!! no matter which way you move, on your 2nd spot you'll move to the city no matter what number you choose. because he removed the rainbow, that makes a garantee that if you move back 4 spot, you'll land on the moon. because he move 2 spots for going forward, you'll still land on the moon if you go 4 spot forward. this is all a matter of elimiating numbers and forcing you to choose those spots.

no matter what number you pick, when you go clockwise you will land on the city. then you move four and land on the moon. its just simple math. I still hat it as much as yall do though.

The only thing interesting about this video is Copperfield's presentation (the moving background, the mysterious music, etc...). It is such a SIMPLE math trick, that no reasonably intelligent person should be impressed. Think about it: he asks you to move X number of spots in one direction. Then, he asks you to move in the opposite direction, the SAME NUMBER OF SPOTS. It's ridiculously simple. You could pick ANY number greater than or equal to 3, and the trick would still work.

He created an illusion by counting to 5 so that you wouldn't think to stop before then. However, no matter what number you choose it always falls upon the moon, he set it up that way.
