Spellbinders hit it out of the park this month with their kits. I HAD to have a few of them and am using them right this moment to make some birthday cards. I, too, do not like the white left over from cutting the stamps. It's the only time I fussy cut. I hate fussy cutting which is why I always buy the die but what's a crafter to do. Cute cards. I love how these kits work so well together.

Yes, I was that Grandma crawling in the dark and reaching through the crib to stick the pacifier in her mouth! I had a hole in my nose after MOHS but a plastic surgeon (not the dermatologist) did the repair and the incision is invisible. LOVE these cards!

Hi Kelly, first off your Ink blending is the bomb turned out perfect. Your copic coloring of course is beautiful I like your choice of colors. I do like purples. I'm glad that you did an inter-active cards. Brads can be useful in many ways. Thank you for giving me ideas to try. Both cards are so fun happy and cute.

Adorable! You can also do a foam circle dot for the swinging octopus. You want a foam circle smaller than the hole and only adhered to the lighter pink top of the octopus. The darker pink behind layer just goes over the circle foam and isn’t attached to anything. There are some super cute Christmas dancing dies from spellbinders.

Gorgeous cards. Good on you for getting in to see the dermatologist promptly. I’m speaking from the skin cancer capitol of the world, Australia, and sooner is better. My uncle had skin cancer on his temple once and they removed it without drama. Remember people have nose jobs all the time so there is flexibility there. And seeing to it sooner means they don’t have to go as deep. Remember to slip, slop, slap. That’s a slogan from 1970s Australia: slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on hat. There’s a jingle that is now running through my head. 😀 Good luck.

These cards are adorable! I will pray for you that the spot isnt anything. Your nose has more skin than you think. I had a squamous on the bridge of my nose and basel cell on my forehead. They did a darn good job. Hugs sweet lady!

For the whale slider I would have added only one foam (double thick and round) and then add a panel of your water coloured ocean behind so that the channel blends in and doesn't stand out when the whale moves...just a thought...your card turned out lovely and we all learn so much as we do...and again with the Octopus small foam circle inside the hole is really all you need...but the end result again is so lovely...always love watching you create and story time... have a fantastic weekend and I will add you to my prayer list.

First of all, best wishes for your dermatology appointment Next, I loved the smug “ha ha” over hoarding craft supplies. Lastly, your purple hands (if they remain stained) wouldn’t be as bad as the woman who quickly freshened up for her GYN appointment and didn’t realize her young daughter had used her washcloth to wipe up glitter. As the story goes ( who knows if it was true or simply funny), her long time GYN was impressed that she glitzed herself up for the examination.

I’d try some rubbing alcohol to get the ink off your hand. Watercolor paper for distress ink blending?! I must try it! I’ve tried Neenah and Bristol Smooth - meh…. (Edited to add: I tried it with the cheap Canson XL watercolor paper….it worked amazingly well! You have changed my ink blending life!). I haven’t done a slider in forever. That set is super cute. I think orienting the card to be landscape would give more room to slide, but I love it. Hope your dr appt goes well.

Hand sanitizer usually does a good job at removing alcohol markers. I keep a small bottle on my desk.

Tip from Chrissy Stoke's toothpaste, works really well for distress inks, may take more effort for alcohol inks. I found the better the brand the better it cleaned, so no good buying the cheapest just to clean inky hands. I put it on a scourer pad or nail brush and find it works better than just soap and scrubbing. I'm sure you have already tried hand sanitizer and iso.. alcohol. Hope appt goes well. Eleanor

Adorable cards. Ask your dermatologist if there are other treatments than surgery (if necessary) I had laser removal instead of surgery.

They did ask me about laser for the sunspots but I declined. If the laser is an option for skin cancer, God willing we don't have to go through that again, I would definitely consider it.

Alcohol helps remove that ink n dawn powerwash has some also if all else fails bleach.

As long as you catch it early enough, you will be fine! Hubby has had so many cancer spots it not funny. Make sure they don’t remove it in emergency room and see your ears nose and throat doctor. They handle it correctly.
