Doesn’t the RBNZ also take USA rate into account? Isn’t it a major factor? I don’t see how the RBNZ could meaningfully cut without the US Federal Reserve taking the lead. Cutting without the US cutting would likely put pressure on our dollar strength and increase imported inflation again.
