The main reason that Isagi didn’t pick Naruhaya is the fact that him and Naruhaya had a very similar skillset. By inviting someone onto your team with similar skills as you, you run the risk of being either predictable, or not having enough weapons to use when you go against another team. By picking Barou their team skillset evolves to: Adaptability/Direct Shot, Amazing Mid-Range Shot, and Trapping (control)

Not to mention, as a pure striker, Barou is one of the best in BL (as a pure striker he’s actually the best in BL imo) and Isagi knows this (he even tells Barou that he sees his potential in the coming episodes). I don’t see why anyone would pick naruhaya over Barou 😂

No actually the main reason Isagi didn't pick Naruhaya is simply that Barou is wayyyy wayyyy wayyyy better. The only guy in Bluelock that we've seen so far that I'd take over Barou is Rin. Barou has the right attitude and the right mentality as a striker. He's just a pure goalscorer that you absolutely want to have on your team. Barou was essentially playing 1v2 against Nagi and Isagi and still almost won

@@priths773 icl I completely forgot about shidou 😭 but he hasn’t been introduced yet so mentioning him would kind of be a spoiler for anyone reading the comments that has no idea how he plays. Shidou and Barou are actually the only PURE strikers in BL imo

Adaptability is Isagi's weapon, and when you really think about it and break it down. It's one of the strongest and scariest weapons in the whole series.

The reason its a big deal to win blue lock is you automatically get put in the U-20 national team so sponsors would immediately be on them so sad for chibi😢

If I may make a suggestion dear ladies. I wouldn’t be to harsh or quick to judge this young players, at least not has people. All of them talk trash and can come off as jerks on the field. Naruhaya’s background and motivations are the only ones I found truly endearing and noble. I hope he finds another path to support his family and achieve his dreams.

Naruhaya isn't mean at all he was being honest. I wouldnt pick isagi either. Most would pick nagi too. And isagi is just as mean he straight up stared down at niko as the kid was crying, and isagi is 2 years older than the kid😂 why wouldnt you feel bad for him he has done nothing wrong up till now.

aight if someone is fat, and I say theyre fat, without any other reason than to just tell the truth, and have no consideration whatsoever to make them be better, is that not me being mean? U guys have zero social skills and it shows. And they clearly werent cool about what Isagi did too if u went back and watch their reactions to tht scene. Atleast Isagi wasnt rubbing it in the kids face saying "hey man, ur team's shit and u couldnt do anything about it". Naruhaya was talking maddd shit and thts also the truth u guys cant seem to accept 😂😂

You can still play in other leagues and play for club teams in Japan but making it in blue lock and getting picked for the u-20 team gets you more money because of sponsors, more recognition and exposure, playing in top class leagues and other stuff

naruhaya's story made me so sad lol i just felt so bad for him. glad he was fleshed out a little more before he left in comparison to when he was on team z though! the additional time of reo was actually so funny to me but youre right, def has some attachment issues there haha

4:54 yeah but you gotta keep in mind that Nahuraya didn't shine because he had to play in defense position especially in the match against Nagi's team and like he said Isagi only got here thanks to Bachira. Nahuraya wasn’t mean he was fair play and honest. We're not here to be friend.

As a pure striker, Barou is one of, if not the, best striker in BlueLock. All he needs are teammates that can get him the ball upfront and he’ll finish the job. IMO he’s the best representation of a striker since many players in BlueLock honestly play like midfielders with how they playmake and defend (half of the time, if a player doesn’t score it’s not cuz the keeper saved it, but because a player came back and blocked the shot 💀 most of the guys in BlueLock don’t really play like strikers)

Dani's right. You miss BL, you can still play club ⚽. In fact, I have a feeling the rule is not absolute. Ego doesn't run the FA. So let's say I'm like the best in my club after missing blue lock, and their pick is having a run of bad form, they're not gonna pick me bc some weirdo says so? Nah....

True, but I assumed it was a thing of all routes to going pro are hard and the easiest route is playing for your own countries team. If the easiest route of this already difficult goal is taken away, it would feel like your dream is basically dead. It's not impossible, but this already nearly seemingly impossible thing is even harder now.

@@crispycreammcfly4782 but it's the opposite entirely, getting to the national team is one of the highest and most exclusive achievements you can get as an athlete and something that really never comes before going pro. You have to be in the top 50 to 30 players in your entire nation to be considered a contender to play for your national team, and if we go by position than it becomes even more selective and you'd have to be in the top 5 or so. You don't get to be good enough to contend for a spot in a national team before being snatched and trained by a pro club.

@cacho100uva Makes sense. Then it might also be that the dream is playing for the Japanese national team and that dream is just not there anymore, which leads to their reaction. It's probably not as easy getting picked for a national team outside of your country compared to inside your country, unless I'm wrong about that.

@@crispycreammcfly4782 yeah, failing at BL supposedly disqualifies you from ever playing for the Japanese national team and playing for your national team is a dream for most football players. So for sure their heartbroken reaction is warranted. They still can climb to the top on the club level and play for the top teams in the world and even always have the possibility of representing another national team by playing in another country for an extended period of time and gaining nationality (and of course being good enough to be considered ahead of other players of that nationality)

@cacho100uva They can but it's about the initial reaction to disqualification and a lot of people tend to bring up "Why are they so devastated you can still go play on a club and go for another national team." but the players aren't thinking about that in the moment so it's irrelevant to bring up imo for Blue Lock. Cause their not going to immediately think "well there's still a chance to get on the world stage." They're thinking "Fuck. I can never join my countries national team."

If I’m not mistaken, Naruhaya was the one of the two little brunettes who would get a bit more screen time. It’s likely that they were showing us what he could do when he would sneakily steal food right out from under Gagamaru. He likely slipped into his blind spot and swiped food from his plate. Assuming that I’m remembering the right one.

@@Diinytro passed up not because of his skill but team chemistry reasons. I’m pretty sure they even mentioned that Barou scored all the goals for their team. Not to mention the biggest reason he was passed up is plot so he could eventually end up with Isagi because he will be key to fighting Rin

I feel like some of the girls don’t have the competitive mindset that’s needed for the players to be the best, they are so caught up on Barous lack of teamwork or how unfriendly he is. But Barou is an incredible player and Naruhaya is not. It’s purely logical to take Barou if you want to win and play with and against the best.

@@Diinytro if you knew where the story was going you would know he is one of the best players in the world bud. Also Isagi uses him in a way that he would never be able to do with Naruhaya. Naruhaya does not have the same potential. You can teach teamwork or use someone who doesn’t have teamwork, you can’t give someone natural talents. Also Barou fits better into Egos idea of a perfect striker, it’s more logical to choose someone who fits into that more.

This episode was great but there is a huge plot hole in and it's Nahuraya goal being stopped because "he can't finish". First off, Nahuraya like everyone in blue lock were strikers in their so they all have scoring ability. Second, Unlike Isagi Nahuraya knew his weapon to score since the begining he just didn't have the occasion to showcasing in previous matches because of diverse situations. And third, all players had to score 100 goals against blue lock man by themselves to be able to do the 3v3 matches later. The test was adapted to each players based on their weapons, if Nahuraya is here, that means he scored 100 goals against Blue Lock man by using his weapons. So where does that weakness about not being able to finish comes from?

@@Diinytro no, and even if they did, Barous skill is enough to make up for it, remember that Isagi wants to beat Rin, he can’t do that with Naruhaya 💀 doesn’t matter that Barous personality is annoying, there’s no way anyone is picking the guy that hit the post 1 on 1 with the keeper with no defender in sight, it’s obvious they were gonna pick Barou. Barou basically played a 2v1 and almost won, as a pure Striker, he is one of the best in BlueLock, he just needs good support to get him the ball in front of the goal and he’ll finish the job
