A well-edited video; I can actually follow what is happening, in sequence, and with appropriate close-ups. I was surprised how labour-intensive the process is.

Shoe assembly seems to be very difficult to automate. I suspect this is primarily because of the myriad number of forms and styles.

Great video, well done! I knew nothing of how a sport shoe was made and this was VERY informative. I liked learning that there is so much skilled manual labor to make the product. Gives me even more respect for my shoes.

For some reason i always thought shoe manufacturing would be more automated, this is a lot of work for a shoe, i think shoes should cost more after seeing this

@@rodney100100 There is no place where shoes are 'fully' automated. In fact they are still mostly handmade and this video shows the standard way of manufacturing shoes today. By shoes I mean shoes with uppers, not like Crocs.

В этом ролике швея заготовки верха обуви шьёт заготовку полностью в ручную. Для такой фабрики это странно. Есть швейные автоматы которые сами полностью сшивают верх обуви а швея только паралон и подкладу шьёт. А в общем норм. Но вот только способ изготовления обуви влечет не долговечность самой обуви.

If shoes were made with this much quality in the United States no one could afford to buy them. It is nice to see the care that goes into the craftmanship of these shoes.

Made in the USA sneakers are around 250USD. They're not cheap, but they're not cost prohibitive.

I was delighted to see the amount of craftsmanship by hand to make these sneakers... We need less robots in this world so people can have a trade and earn a living.. which is exactly what this factory understands and I applaud them for it..

Run of the mill assembly line style setup. No craftsmanship here. It's no different than how any automated corporation makes sneakers in Indonesia sweatshops.

I'm impressed at the strength of the adhesives, I didn't know there we so many layers. I think that die grinder must be the noisiest tool there, if they can one day switch to electric instead of pneumatic it would cut down on machine noise for the workers.

How hot was it in the factory? Also, from your understanding, is this a standard process in Korea only? The conditions seem good. I'm curious to know what the employees get paid. Those shoes look similar to shoes sold in the USA for hundreds of dollars. Simply because of a fancy label sewn into the side of it. Thanks again for your great videos.

Usually minimal pay is a 9$/hour in Korea. About 2500-3500$ per month.

@@ledhunters good luck finding shoes like this Made in Korea selling for that price even if it is without a brand. if it was made in China it would be a different story
