Interlaken is a town and municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the Swiss canton of Bern. It is an important and well-known tourist destination in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps, and the main transport gateway to the mountains and lakes of that region.

Being an older guy, but a lifelong appreciator of beautiful women, I wondered where were all the beautiful women. I watched as we wended our way through one of the most beautiful places on earth. Figured they were all hiding from the hordes of tourists! Marvelous video. Thanks so much for making and posting it!

Drivers are crazy nice. Any walkway was clear to cross, with a smiling Swiss behind the wheel.

Do not go to Interlaken. It's same as Saudi Arabia now. If you still insist on going then at least head to Lauterbrunnen.

I drove through the city center. Population was 70% Muslim, black burqas everywhere. This is actually being done on purpose to attract super rich Arabs.

I have just been to Interlaken July 2018 and the town looks quite different now, 6 years later. The Interlarken tourism agency has made a big push for the lucrative market of the Gulf States, partly due to the high value of the Swiss Franc and the declining numbers of European tourists. I made the same walk as this video, from the end of the park, down the main high street to interlaken west, the number of people were of similar density. I counted 121 women wearing hijabs and 9 wearing niqabs (where only their eyes are visible or mostly also wearing sunglasses). In comparison this video from Aug 2018, shows only one young girl wearing Islamic dress. I had previously been to Interlaken in 1993, 2008 & 2010 and from my last vists in 2008 & 2010 the town looked pretty much as it does in this video. It looks quite different now.

You are correct. I was there yesterday. Downtown Interlaken is now at least 70% Muslim. Saddest thing I've seen in a while.

Its a form of soft cultural change. The soft end of the wedge. Then restrictions on freedom of speech and blasphemy laws. The town was dead in the evening, a large drop in bar night life. I don't want to have to ask in every restaurant how the food is prepared. If someone wants to swap one culture for another, that's fine. But others who do not want it to be swapped should also be allowed to have their say. In the UK opinion polls carried out over the past 17 years from 2001 onwards, have shown a significant % of people who now live in the UK who: Favour attacks on the UK military, believe the western liberal nations should be replaced by a religious theocracy, want to crush Isarel, believe blasphemy should carry the death penalty and sympthaise with the type of people who murdered the Charlie Hebdo Journalists.
