Note to Alex Kurtzman & fiends: THIS is how Star Trek is supposed to be. The writing matters. The storytelling matters. The passions of the cast matter. When one has a sense of purpose in making a production, it shows. When one has a love of Trek, it shows. THIS production is what matters. Your bad imitation of Trek matters so much that you've tanked the CBS stocks and ruined the goodwill Trek fans once had for your product. End your association with Star Trek and allow others who understand Trek to flourish WITHOUT YOU. Sincerely, One gleeful, satisfied Trekkie after watch this fan-made film

What are your requirement for a Star Trek production? I have watched a lot of fanmade Star Trek, and can say that most are well done. In case you don't know, Gene Roddenbery wanted the fans to add to his creation. CBS/Paramount are trying to subtract from it by bringing the lawsuit they did against Axanar! I have no respect for the official owners of Star Trek, as they have violated my trust, as well as the trust of nearly all fans. Are you a complete fan, or just a fan of what CBS/Paramount wants to feed you?

I commend the whole crew on these high production values and keeping the universe of Star Trek alive. Its so awesome that you folks are working hard to produce what the big players can't understand that is essential about Star Trek--that the dream of Roddenberry wasn't a period design or pop culture trend- it's about telling the story of what humanity could be in the future if we let ourselves strive for the best we can be.

@@DMSProduktions then who was it. Because I remember CBS & Paramount being the ones to push to shut them down they couldn't make any trek worth while so they said nope Hollywood studio developments only or nothing. Something that in Gene Roddenberry`s time would've been unheard of happening to a fan production. Back then it was a way to grow with a fandom. Now it's just a chorus of capitalism. The suits never learn. All they had to do is come to Axanar with a in good faith collaboration working with them. Or something that showed they cared for thier community. instead we got a half made comparmise that greatly diminished what could have been. I would have loved to see a full production of This Love letter to Star Trek. CBS & Paramount have destoryed the faith fans had in them. At least those not in on the take. Know we know they care only for money & thier version or no version of Trek. Way to show the fans who they really are. It's bad turn of events really. In the 90s I grew up with not only stat trek though other paramount pictures including many CBS series. They have fallen far from those glory years into something I do not want to have anything to do with. Greater days are gone. Know we move on to greener pastures. Make are own stories. The only move left is to show the way for something knew grander then what was before. rest in peace those who made such a great community. May we never forget.

This was so professionally done and well written to boot! It is too bad that fan films like this one can not longer be made in longer segments. That is not to say that the length of a movie has anything to do either with it's quality or the performance of the actors. Both were at extremely high levels. @@joshuairwin2016 I've love for that to happen, but legally, it's not nearly as easy to do as people might think. CBS would literally have to compensate each person who worked on each fan film or else pay a licensing fee to the fan films' various creators. And of course, they'd never do that because CBS owns Star Trek and shouldn't have to. But using the fan films in any kind of commercially profitable endeavor requires CBS to license them or else face potential lawsuits. Not that the fans would ever sue CBS, but their corporate lawyers would never take that chance. Don't ask me who explained this to me because none of it is considered official. :-)

They should have transported as much of Artemis’ crew over as possible before turning back to engage.

Transporters were out...otherwise Ares could have beamed Ramirez over to Artemis (as Ares was way more crippled).

Seriously, great work and content. I don't care if you have to tell your story in 12 min increments. Ther is a way to counter the Star Ship (CBS - PARAMOUNT). You should see my 13 foot scratch built Enterprise, and my 1/72 scale TOS Klingon Shuttle craft. I am thinking about posting build logs on my YT channel.

This one episode was better than all of the “ST: Discovery” seasons combined. I refuse to support that abomination. As a 50 year Trek fan, it breaks my heart to see what has become of such a great franchise. (The Picard series excluded- which is very good). Thank you for making this and reminding us of what Star Trek could still be if anyone at CBS or Paramount still gave a damn about canon, logical continuity, heritage or legacy. Or the fans.
