I may be wrong but I believe this is a style of recitation introduced by Sadiqu Sadiq (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g6hpbMmly7mVnp8.html). It's a recitation that's derived from the late Imam and reciter Muhammad Ayyub (rahimahullah). It's the style adopted all around Nigeria by both male and female contestants at competitions because it allows every harf (letter) to be heard properly as well as all other components of tajweed.

@@standtallwithtruth @Nuruddeen Abubakar Wa iyyakum. May Allah guide us to what He's pleased with ameen. Some of them add their own personal touch to this style of recitation like Abubakar Umar Balarabe (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fZ12eNOe15muqJs.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pcuIYNmBxq29fnk.html). I really like his version of it. He at times brings back some Muahammad Ayyub tune in it.

@@samiramadou9857 Have you heard the young qari Zoubeir Ghaouzy's recitition style and do you maybe know what or whose recitition style he imitates or follows? His recitition and voice very beautiful.

@@Tulips77755 As-salaamu 'alaykum ukhti fillah. I just watched two of his videos. In the 1st one it was a Dubai competition in 2018, I don't recognize the recitation he's doing in there, perhaps his own. As for the second one where he was leading prayer I believe it derives from the tilawa of Abubakar Shatri or the one of Yusuf Kalo. You can check them out. Yusuf Kalo may be a little slow but if one was to apply his style faster I believed it would give something like Zobair's. Wallahu a'alam.
