Andrey Chirkov est le combattant de Karaté Kyokushinkai qui a offert le plus de spectacle lors du tournoi International Kyokushin Challenge à Paris-Bercy.
Seul le champion du Monde Alejandro Navarro le stoppera en demi-finale, au terme d'un combat extrêmement serré.
Voici le Russe Andrey Chirkov contre le Français Souhaiel Nakara.

The Russian was obviously impressive, yes. But what I found more impressive was the fact that the French fighter - clearly outmatched - stayed in the game and did whatever he could to make himself useful during its duration. It's a learning lesson for all of us to not give up.

the Russian could win this fight any way he wanted. All he needed to do was work a front snap kick and thrust kick to the body and he'd wear this guy out. the fancy spinning back kicks and cartwheel kick are unnecessary.

Minute 1:15, that was a smooth and deadly back roundhouse that was so fast it would have taken the opponent's head off practically, definitely some work would be needed on the C5-C6 vertebrae if that made contact, grab the C-spine collar and stabilize that neck, get the patient on the backboard. Even as an American, I've got to say, that Russian bear knows how to throw down, Well done sir. That was beautiful and precise.

Brutal but elegant at the same time. I'm a Shotokan practitioner but I respect Kyokushinkai. The Russian was far better and I wonder how the French survived those punches. /Dommage, parce que la France a de très bon karateka.

Or if you don't want to be in danger, search for Kyokushin MMA fighters and you will see, be careful of what you are saying or you will learn the hard way

@@willowpak6410 He's right, a Thai Boxer or even a boxer with 2-3 years of training would easily beat up most black belts. Kyokushin MMA fighters don't use karate techniques most of the time, they had to learn more effective styles to have a chance in the ring.

Le français n a pas le niveau. Il est à la ramasse. Il bouge très peu et n a déployé aucune technique. Il n avait rien à faire à ce rendez-vous. C était un massacre.
