Hey Truckers! This semi truck was towed to our shop after it died on the driver. This is a 2012 Maxxforce 13 Liter Prostar... with no SCR!! Tune in to see us run diagnostics and determine what is wrong with this engine.

Yes 2013 was the first year international started using def. International got sued by a couple trucking companies because of all the lost revenue and down time with the max force .2010-2012 max forces had tons of problems due to the emissions ,apparently there ok if u delete them

The MaxxForce engines in the Navistar school buses were shit. I can only imagine what you’re dealing with in a Navistar truck.

Didn’t they put a regen off switch for drivers in flammable environments that have been left off and clog the filters untill a no run no start?

Hi Guys I went through this same problem with mine. 2012 Prostar. Maxx 13. Replaced it 2 1/2 years ago haven't had an issue so far.

Hey i have a 2012 prostar maxxforce 13. Have you had any loss of power uphills and on launch? I also have longer time around 4 seconds before engine cranks to start. Any ideas would be helpful thanks

That egr valve part alone is $2000 bucks. Dpf system ruined the trucking industry

I'm looking at a 2016 international with a n13 motor with about 250,000 miles on it. Should I be concerned and not roll with this engine? Been hearing bad things about them

I've been driving a 2012 or 13 depending on dealers. Date so close to 13 they call it 13. Anyway egr killed this engine deleted it been driving it for 1 yr 6 months hauling flatbed at 4600 pounds south east set at 75 mph & will drag your gears down climbing put get the job done. But lack of these engines i looking for the next truck.
