In Manitoba, as a student, you can get Manitoba health and that will cover everything. Thats why its important to apply for Manitoba Health upon arrival. Check ups usually happens on the 5th and 13th week of pregnancy. Thanks for making this video, I am expecting and school has not started. I arrived early in Canada and I will give birth when the school starts. I am anxious of what will happen to me.

You are so lucky that you got a midwife. In Saskatchewan there are only like 15 midwives working and each one can only take around 8 pregnancies per month. I would love to get a midwife as this would only cost me around 3k to have a home birth. Also in Saskatchewan, the baby doesn't get health insurance until the mother does and with the way the PR is being delayed because of covid, it will take a year or more. Hoping I have an easy pregnancy and healthy baby.
