charcoal is put in a ton of beauty and self care and natural health products and is marketed as "natural." people who are into "natural health" like to do "detoxes" and activated charcoal is an actual detox, unlike many of the other things these ppl use, since its given as treatment to ppl who ingested something toxic, but natural health ppl just figure charcoal must be good for them and must be "dexotifying" their bodies whenever they take it so theyll eat it for believed health benefits. so i can see why the kind of person thats afraid of fluoride would like charcoal lol

It's funny because here in Brazil everyone is OBSSESSED with fluoride and brushing their teeth like 3 or 4 times a day (pluss floss) and after traveling around the world I can confidently say that no other place in the world matches the beauty and resilience of brazilian teeth.
