This time on the show Darren speaks at the blog.crashspace.org hackerspace in Los Angeles about Internet freedom and alternative Internets for the coming zombie apocalypse. It's all fun and games until there's no route to host. Whether it's a natural disaster, oppressive government or zombie invasion the hacker community should prepare for certain Internet doom. Love the show , but what part of this was about "Alternative internet infrastructure" it was more of a Brief history of the net and net censorship.

In Costa Rica you pay around $95/month for 10Mbps down 1Mbps up... a law doesn't necessarily mean good for the people.

good work daren (ok maybe less mpla mpla) but we must THINK on what happen around us ... a) past - internet was a "army" product b) now - internet is a capitalism product c) future - i dont know hihihihi so the freedom of human and internet is in the same base , when we put the MONEY over human , nothing can change ... thanx

Many will strongly disagree that internet access may be defined as a basic human right as defined by common law, natural rights & natural law jurisprudence rooted in liberal philosophy & with a long history of jurisprudence to support such claims. Many nation states don't support "natural rights" or personal sovereignty, rather rights are recognized, granted & regulated by the state. If states make rights, then there are no "inalienable" rights & states can eliminate them.

the internet is a Priviledge to have access to.. not a "right" like the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.. the internet fits in the Pursuit of Happiness.. Its fun, but it is not a right.. just sayin..
