Not unlike a TON of 90's club stuff like MeatBeat Manifesto. I was alive then and still adore some of the more arbitrary, if not painful remixes of those days and now. John Robie (New Order Dub Vulture and others) lent a hand to a remix. It was the LOUDEST and most over-produced mix, perhaps EVER. Nonetheless, it was gorgeous in its eccentricity and audacity. A thought😉. Sometimes it takes some balls to do something you should probably reconsider, yet push the button and let it rip, regardless, and with nada shame. I am no musician, yet appreciate endeavors, even if awkward or unconventional. End of day... it is all good. We can dial it up...or we can find something we like far more. Our choice, our voice. Just love what you love, but never hesitate to test the waters less traveled...

This is the most profound song on the album. It was such an important part of my life last year. I'm pissed off at this. Feels like disrespect, or a tasteless joke. Hope that's not it.

I miss the old Interpol, Calculated melodies and rhythms, intentional and passionate riffs and lyrical lines, Layers of simplicity that brings the perfect complexities. Hand crafted with care. This is far from that.

I’m genuinely confused by this. Doesn’t Interpol have a whole team around them? How does everyone including label, management, the band and the remix producer himself listen to this and go… YES this is it, let’s not only release it on KZfaq but also actually publish it. Side question: What is going on with the vocal track? It sounds ghastly. You would have to work very hard to make Paul’s voice sound bad, somehow this track manages to do so.

These are all experimental groups, meant to go beyond the "conformist definition of what is music". I don't enjoy most of these either, but I appreciate the "artistry"... It's somewhere in there lol.

@@b.r.207 I completely understand and appreciate experimental. Experimental music doesn’t equate to sounding bad though. It doesn’t sound like a finished composition. There are endless directions to take but whatever direction the composer goes it should still sound like a well executed, professional final product. At their level anything they put out will be heard by many people. Why put something out that isn’t done at a professional level? It doesn’t make sense because it doesn’t help them in any way nor does it help the composer who remixed their song.

im all for experimental weird music, but this feels unfinished, they just needed to change the pitch of the vocal or the sound a bit... Is this really the right archive or a wrong one was uploaded?
