program I/o CPU checks/interrupts I/O device while in interrupt I/O, I/O device interrupts CPU (mainly at start when it wants to execute and at end when it's done)

in programmed i/o cpu checks status bit continuously whether a data is present in databus , status bit represent 1 if data is present and 0 if data is not present. so cpu waits in a loop while checking status bit , to overcome this we have interrupt i/o

There is a mistake. The IO send interrupt rqst to CPU and CPU send the ack to io

You're actually wrong. The CPU requests for the interrupt which basically means that the CPU is asking the interrupt handler to notify it when there is an interrupt, until which the CPU will carry on with some other process. The Interrupt Handler sends the acknowledgment which is basically informing the CPU that an interrupt has occurred.
