Possibly the single most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard. Even if someone hadn't seen the film this would be a masterpiece to them. Hans Zimmer is a living legend!

I don't know why, but every time I listen to this music, I burst into tears, especially from 8:55. It's like a moment of pure nostalgia, where the lack of my father burns my spirit.

I don’t know how Hans zimmer didn’t get more praise for this when it came out??? This track, to me, captures the vastness, and grandiosity of space unlike anything I’ve heard before. Especially at and after 8:57. The void which is space is alive.

After 10 years I have always skipped this song not knowing it’s a variation. Album was on shuffle and then it hit me. This is f amazing

c'est exactement cela. le prélude, avec son accord tellement hors du temps, extatique, puis le crescendo où l'on peut ressentir jusqu’à la mort la mort d'Isolde. je ressent également un peu l'ambiance du poème de l'extase de Scriabine... pas mal pour une musique de film!

I believe this is the first time I felt what a person feel when is at the end. Close to the splendid revelation of life in its meaning close to the eternity of light that is the secret reveled passage after passage toward the end in a brief gasp of air the last before the immense beauty of peace deep interstellars worlds that collide in one point only and that point is you when the silent line of light bring you to touch the new dymention with joy and love to all forever.

Showed this to my wife the other day. Didn't realize the first 2/3rds was pretty much meh and she lost interest before the big finale. The point was lost, it was tragic. So I just enjoyed it again on my own.

We burst into tears narratively because the entire piece represents the trans-dimensional nature of kenotic love and, sonically, because he waits until then to park the dominant fifth. This is the culmination of Richard Strauss's musical vision.

@@moy_loy Only part of the end motif for the Detach sequence. I think Interstellar should be remade someday with just a few tweaks here and there. It would be the best film of all time.
