It still amazes me that Alex obvioulsy struggles to form a full sentence and generally needs more time to arrange his thoughts and speak them out but when it comes to writing poems or lyrics he has an incredibly beautiful way to write them down with the most unique and clever words. That's when you know this person is a true genius and artist. Sometimes I wonder how his brain works.

aw i love how talkative alex was here! he's still struggling to form his sentences but i feel like he felt quite comfortable here, even cracked a joke here & there. i could listen to him speak for hours. also, good job vera! you managed to make them bring up some interesting topics :)

Alex on stage is like an alpha male and yet in interviews he is still dreamy and vague like he was when he was 21. Seriously though, how can someone be that beautiful and talented? I bet other men have wept cos he's stolen their thunder 😆

I absolutely love the way Alex looks at Matt during this interview, with real love in his eyes. Their friendship is so lovely - Matt is so funny and Alex obviously truly appreciates him. Gorgeous.

Loved the part when they both confirm there is No mirrorball but Matt still says “there’d better be” and there wasn’t much of a reaction from Al and the interviewer 😂 13:00 - 13:04 and then he proceededs to say “change it to there’d used to be a mirrorball”

I’ve seen too many comments from people on other forums complaining and saying that they wished the new Album sounded like their early stuff! They are fast approaching the big 4-0, and they are not the young Sheffield scallywags that they once were and they have also been famous for almost 20 years! They can’t write those kind of songs anymore, and if they did they would come off as sad cases who can’t let go of the past. I for one really appreciate the fact that their sound has matured and changed along with them. You may not find the new stuff to your personal taste but I feel that they deserve praise for changing it up and doing what THEY want, and personally I can’t wait for the new album to drop. The first two tracks are definitely growers and I’ve always found that the songs/albums that grow on you are the ones that tend to stick around and become classics. Good luck to them, I’m really looking forward to it!

It's nice to see Alex Turner laughing. I've been watching some recent performances and their new music videos and he just seemed so sad for some reason.

It’s nice to see someone as neurotic as I am. I too struggle day to day coming up with the right words. The flow always comes with the art though. Whether it’s songwriting, filmmaking, painting…that’s just easier. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

them talking about them recording in the countryside in that old almost farmhouse or countryside house reminds me of queen creating their might at the Opera album out in the English countryside. the way that clicks somehow gives me great hope for the next album, and with the first two songs already out I really can't get enough of them.
