Is incredible how well I can understand the magic Barbara when she plays, and not a single note when she speaks. :)

In this room for the 4th international Dusseldorf Organfestival, is the world-reknown Organist Barbera Dennerlein (BD). {sits} “Your program this evening is called ‘Hammond meets church organ’ what should we be expecting this evening?” (BD)”umm…both Organs once again {Laughs}”-because duh, like the title implies- “ the church organ and the Hammond organ of course and I play solo on both instruments and jazz music in both instances what is a relatively large “Bogen?” musical really relaxing?”

She is THE Organ Pastor!! She's quite known among Hammond B3 fans and other organ enthusiasts here in Europe!! Nice path from Jazz organ to Church organ (recently this last one) and, of course, she excells on both languages.She´s working on her gift since 11 y.o. and it's more hard work than gift...Her church?! Every month in Zurich at wwworgelsuriumch Her pedal footwork is legendary, bass line and so on...!!

(read upwards) (showhost) “welcome back to the program glad y’all are watching, So, running since 2nd november the International Organ festival in Dusseldoerf {something about the end of September}and a further high point this evening in ‘Bilk’” Gunter Schumacher (GS) will inform us now direct from the Frieden’s church right on FlowerStreet……{pause} “yeah, a good evening here, normally you’d hear in the Bilker Church, Church songs, but tonight you not going to

,so one can spend lots of time playing it, and it even brings a sacredness in this room, it’s to say also jazz in elements altogether, and it’s quite good, I mean to whoever we believe comes out today “{laughs} (GS)” In general, what fascinates you about organ playing?” (BD) “well,..In general what fascinates me is that ‘manns unapenglich ist?’ because one can even throughthis..{stutters} classical song? One can play alone that is totally free, it is but even super pleasant to play with a band,

and the organ there is many opportunities with the stops(drawbars) [to make] the different sound colors(tones) so on one side there in front of this instrument ‘belone?’ but entrained and really enjoyable sound feelings.” -probably misquoted the hell out of her on that one!- (GS) “Ms. Dennerlein, many thanks it will be so delightful for us to watch certainly tonight if we hear quite quite cool sounds..it's happening here at the Bilker Frieden’s Church at 19:30 (7:30pm)

The foot pedals on this [church] organ are wider spaced than the Hammond which is a big difference…one can always further learn a new instrument…I mean, the Hammond I know it in and out by heart, and with the church organ of course there are many possibilities and confrontations with idiosycracies, so that makes it enjoyable because of this.” (GS)” The difficulty is both music {something} to combine the church music, and on the otherside, the jazz element”

-probably bad translation at the end there- (GS) “Do you play also jazz music here on the church organ?”-apparently GS wasn’t listening- (BD) “sure sure, that is just (exactly) the special part is that one can even play jazz music on a church organ..and that is also a great reoccurring discovery for the organist(male)…or the organist(female)- like saying ‘reoccurring discovery for the actor…actress’ since she was speaking about it in general terms.-

(BD)” yeah, well my music is somewhat very complex and um..it goes in different directions and things going against it, and then as an organist you think to orchestrate, because you play with your legs on the bass, and the console with your hands, with jazz that’s what’s standard (common)…and if one registers?, adjust the drawbars,.one thinks automatically about an arrangement that it sounds like an orchestra…[well] the Organ is actually a small orchestra,

(GS)” So what’s the biggest difference between the regular church organ that folks are familiar with and the Hammond Organ?” (BD)” there is a huge difference, I mean, if you are seeking for me to say it quite briefly, the church organ is of course still more mechanically heavy feel than the Hammond, the Hammond reacts [to your playing] very fast, and then also different the Hammond, out of the ordinary [compared to other players] for me what’s very important is the pedal play {motions below}

Well I understood most of it .I dig the organ playing for sure, however I'd like to think 'Music is the real way of speaking, everything else is just filling in time between gigs' This lady tells a great musical story on the Hammond organ..

@analogreproduction It takes two people to argue; regardless to your feelings about forums. Individuals has the right to be: inquisitive, alturistic, disingeonus, positve & negative if they choose. I tend to be postive! Sometimes i have the time to find resources, & at times i don't. Try not respond to some clips,especially something as lite as my first comment. Some people like to offend & they find peace by being negative. Let it go, & enjoy your viewing time; like i were doing. Best regards!

and how to get kind of a listen?, then y’all get now a quite quite small appetizer (pre-sample) {BD starts playing}… (showhost) ”ya, one also doesn’t hear that everyday…jazz on the church organ, some really really interesting music that you can get in Bilk.. we ask of course pardon the interruption..we continue [the program] with sports coming up.” PHEW! how'd I do? Check out some of my playing to I got a few albums out as well -for my troubles of translating ;)
