Good cover and more competition upfront. Be interesting to see how it works with the 4 lads fighting out for 2 spots and normally only 1 forward on the bench

Just googled him, his previous club fans are happy that he's gone. In previous 38 games he scored only 9 goals. Now considering he's a Forward, that doesn't sound very promising. What I am missing here? Is manger hoping he's gonna explode because he is coming from higher tier of football? Is he gonna be a relief forward for Mullin and Ollie? A bench warmer, more less something like Sam Dalby?

You could add another 100 teams to that list mate, but I still think they have a chance every year, until they don't. That's what loyal fans do. Not gonna pretend to support someone else just because of success, they are not true fans.

If you do archery and you’re from Nottingham in the Robin Hood era, then yes it is a way cooler sounding name but it’s 2023 and we generally accept people’s names as they are.

Uaually go on previous clubs forum to see if we signed a good player, barrow fans the majority of them, seem happy he has gone by the sounds of it. Hopefully there judgement is wrong , and ours is right, welcome aboard Billy , let the goals flow.

2 goals in his last 18 and 9 across 40 games total this season. Bit hit and miss but cant' fault him for his work rate. Glad we got a fee for him.

Thought he was one of Halifaxs stand out players to be fair. Might be decent with more service for us Aswell

Instinctive finisher? Yes Billy did well at Barrow, not as good as at Halifax so probably more suited to the NL. He missed 2 gilt-edged chances from less than 8 yards out that in recent crucial games that would’ve put Barrow on the brink of the play-offs but alas he didn’t. No shakes about it, if Mullins gets injured in the run BW will not return the goals you might be accustomed to.
