Thank-you both for part 4. I own one of the Bottlehead products which never sold in the expected quantities (55 shipped in total?). The Bottlehead DAC was a great-sounding product out of the box. Discard the wall wart and run it from NiCad batteries (sold for emergency lighting duties) and it is an absolute giant-killer. I put my hand up to "proud poppa" syndrome too. I build a pair of Bottlehead 300B Paramount monoblocks for my son. I put them into my system just to "check" and he eventually had to prize them from my hands a whole year later. I am a similar age to Dan and agree on many things. All I want from my system is to be drawn into the music and his products do that job with few equals. It still surprises me how many of my friends and fellow club members share different interests. Chatting in the club room of my local rifle range has shown that the hobbies of audio (both home and DJ), motorcycles, sports cars and light aircraft all have enthusiasts who also shoot (shooting being a very minority interest here in the UK).

These interviews with Chord, Bottlehead and Schiit have given me huge respect for all 3 companies. It really helps to humanize the company and help understand the products better. Probably why I'm a big Schiit fan is their chapters on head-fi along with their recent live streams takes that human connection even further (that and their products are more price accessible than Chord's though I'd love to try Qutest/Hugo2/TT2 one day...)
