Great interview! Listening to Daniel's viewpoints on his position in life was like holding a mirror in front of me, for we seem to have the same position. Photography helps keep me grounded and balanced to a degree, though there are other factors that come into play as well. So, I can relate in so many ways to what he said. I was glad to see someone with basically the same views. I'm glad I stumbled upon this interview.

I find photography has taken me on much of the same path in life less materialised more spiritual and self conscious. Less stress is always a good thing and in a happier place due to photography. Nice to relate to someone.

Great interview, gives a nice idea of the problems of the social-media-addicted-world we are coping with today. I think the process of analogue photography helps us to stay connected with the real (physical) world we are living in. And that world is such a wonderful place to be. Very nice photographs too. Keep up the good work both!

The first time I indulged this interview was over your podcast one night on the drive home and his answers were just so real. I remember the champagne G2 being a real 'dads with disposable income' camera. You know the dads who bought boats but never could afford the upkeep.

also very interesting to hear him talk. the vantage point of the photos is so true. that makes all the photos as a child around the age of 11 would look at and wonder about the world. Hopefully that makes those people who think that you are taking advantage of the subject or a situation you are viewing through a POV of a young child and also makes the photographs much funnier and a more pure view of the word, not censored in a way, of what is appropriate to look and and what is not. I am a admirer of Daniel Arnold work and would love to buy some of his stuff. Its all about repetition, habit, just do it everyday.Great interview Eric!!The interview seemed very natural and like one steady interaction between you two. 8 thumbs up. Im an octopus btw.

I love Daniels’s photography, but not his methods. I would rather ask than using his method because in this day an age the likely hood of you running into the wrong person and getting hurt is very high, but his work is great as well as his shooting from the hip. Film forces you to think about what you are doing and your composition and you are as excited as a school kid waiting for the film to come back. I also think you are even more excited with the results because you can’t chimp. I still own a film camera. Great interview Eric.

his work is nothing new..its been done so much and much better. But for the new hipsters this is something new..and the shit I guess. The comments astound me in how people can't see further than what is put in front of them.

Stones Jones To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
