Doesn’t sound like the interviewer did his homework before sitting down with Mr. Kooper. Al mentions the band Mose Jones which was also on his label. I saw Al Kooper, Mose Jones and the British band Flash on the same bill on New Years Eve at Loew’s State Theater in Providence R.I. It was a hell of a lot of fun. Al played what looked like a Gibson SG solid body on the first number, which happened to be a Rolling Stones song, the title of which escapes me right now.
