Norman, my heart is with you. I was there, same stuff, Parrot's Beak 1969. You have done a fine job of opening up for this interview. I can relate how tough that was to do. Hopefully, many will learn what we endured in that place. I just read a similar book titled CIB 1969 that told of a similar situation. Thank you and Welcome Home, brother. Joe the Vet

This moves me to weep. What a treasure this man is our nation. What a kind and sensitive person. U can see & hear the great depth of character in this man, the depth of character that led him to save his buddies. My God. God Bless you, Norman.

The best interview of ~75 similar seen. The Navy Cross episode was just riveting. Delivered candidly & emotionally by an honest, humble, intelligent, & brave soldier. God bless you & your family.

Thank you for all you have done, Norman. I think you had better teachers later on and that is good. Many colleges stink. Also being older helps as well. AZ

We all give you the Medal of Honor! Citizens! Now I know what the Navy Cross really, really, means. The rules are wrong: The pilots should have been witnesses since they were in helicopters which probably were not invented when they made the traditional rules for "ground" witnesses. As a lawyer, I'd fight for the change! But Omar Bradley is a huge story. FYI my brother was OCS Marine Quantico in 1975. While you were there, I was a kid about 12 at a camp next to Cherry Point Marine Base and saw the Phantoms come back everyday Summer 1968. Apollo 11 Michael Collins was from my school - a Marine too. Best interview I've heard on this internet.

Imagine how tough this would be, just the five of them, very strange conditions and Jungle warfare is as tough as it can be. 🌴🌴🌱🌴👀
