You do realise ‘psychopath’ and ‘sociopath’ are not even clinical terms, right? And whether he felt empathy in general or not, he certainly lacked a degree of empathy in the situation in which he killed his victims.

I saw an interview with a man who had no conscience at all, became a mafia assassin, and described how he liked watching people's look of shock when he stabbed them. At some point, the interviewer rubbed him the wrong way and he asked, "Are you thinking about killing me right now?" and the guy admitted he was. There are some scary people in this world...

@@Q.T-T psychopaths tend to hide the fact that they are psychopaths. You usually can’t tell if someone is a psychopath since they always hide that fact and act as if they were normal. They manipulate by getting on people’s good side. Meanwhile sociopaths are more impulsive and they get angry and take it out on others and dont really care if people are aware. Psychopaths are more controlled, meanwhile sociopaths are more impulsive and tend to leash out their anger.
@Q.T-T

@JankyStraw Low functioning psychopaths are impulsive and high functioning sociopaths are calculating, just like high functioning psycopaths. Like I said, they are the same, only difference is one is born and one is made: nature/nurture. They both can be low-functioning/impulsive or high-functioning/calculating.

I always knew my compulsive thieving was wrong. I knew my using drugs was wring. I then knew my lying to men to keep them interested in me was wrong. But I couldn’t stop those things on my own power. It drove me to a very serious no bullshit suicide attempt over the lying to men part. I’m a drug addict and a sex and ‘love’ addict who finally got help from people like me and a higher power that i have accessed deep within. On my own I was doomed to keep doing what I knew was wrong. And, rather than the knowledge that my actions were wrong making me stop, the knowledge only led me to do more of the sane dreadful actions- because those actions helped anaesthetise the guilt as well. This would have to be the perfect example of a vicious circle, wouldn’t it. Oh. My. God

@@headhonchotheone9041people who are schizotypal have a blunted affect, which means they may show little to no emotions, but this has no effect on what they feel. It’s not fair to say that people with psychopathy have no emotions either, this is a myth. people with psychopathy lack empathy and therefore show no emotions for other people. It’s not that they don’t feel anger, happiness, joy etc, it’s just that they don’t feel empathy.

Jeffery is definitely not a psychopath. Psychopaths are extremely narcissistic, they see themselves as perfect and can do no wrong no matter what, and have no regard for others and can be sadistic. Jeffery has said multiple times that he knew what he was doing was wrong, and often said his life was pathetic. If Scarver didn’t kill dahmer, dahmer would’ve more than likely killed himself.

He went to great lengths to choose vulnerable targets and to cover-up what he was doing, except towards the last month or so where he lost control and his mental health deteriorated due to factors like losing his job and being handed an eviction notice by his landlord. He knew what he was doing was wrong. It was evil of him not to tell anyone and ask for help. He regularly saw a psychiatrist, probation officer and went to group therapy. Yes it was an addiction, but it’s not like trying to cover up a drug addiction, he was k1lling people! Drilling holes in their skulls and pouring dilute acid or hot water. Drugging people. R@ping people. Eating people. Beating people, children up (Konerak had been beaten-up/bruised). He definitely had anti-social personality disorder (sociopathy/psychopathy), among other things. He was both sick and evil.

He did actually try to ask his dad for help multiple times but Lionel wasn't really interested he was eother ignorant or didn't understand the gravity of the situation until Jeff got sentenced for the first loation boy. Lionel wrote to the judge to get Jeff help and said he fears his sons actions might be detrimental to other people but Lionel was ignore and Jeff had killed at least 2 people at that point.

@Mel-jy3kq I've read Lionels book, so unless you're saying his dad is lying and have proof to back this up, you're factually incorrect 😊

@@nicolewarner2360 He didn’t ask his dad for help. Other than cutting-up and preserving already dead animals, their skeletons, which understandably can be interpreted as scientific curiosity, Lionel had no idea about the more gruesome things Jeffrey was doing. Jeffrey literally talked about how he had to do a lot of lying, hiding and covering up. “His own secret little world where he had complete control”.

@Mel-jy3kq so you are correct in that Lionel didn't know about jeff Killing people, but in his book, he states "I know jeff was up to something sinister but I didn't want to believe my once happy child had turned into something unimaginable when I look back now jeff had tried to ask me for help on multiple occasions and and I can't help but feel if I had listened to him would he have became this monster" is this my fault?" From reading his book it's really clear that Lionel was very similar to jeff as a child and because Lionel was able to over come these obstacles in his life without the intervention of his parents he thought jeff could do the same.

@@nicolewarner2360 And even then, his dad really wanted Jeffrey to get psychological help and tried hooking him up with psychologists. Yes this was when Jeffrey was in his 20s but many murders could’ve been prevented. Jeffrey came into contact with many professionals including mental health professionals. He was too selfish and his own pleasure came before the lives, feelings and dignity of others. Lionel wasn’t able to handle Jeffrey’s issues, Jeffrey needed professional help.

he was neither. He made it abundantly clear that he never enjoyed hurting or inflicting pain on people, he got satisfaction after the victim were already perished and he always made sure they didnt suffer (too much).

I wouldn’t say he’s a Psychopath, a psychopath is when someone who has no empathy, they don’t care what they have to do or hurt, they are very manipulative and do mean it when they hurt somebody. They would form a relationship and then later one use them for their own.. social path on the other hand is when someone who’s still emotionally attached, even though they don’t talk much and look like one, it’s very clear that Jeffery is a sociopath; they still do care their love ones. They know that they don’t mean it and they can be out of control, They didn’t mean to hurt somebody yet lose control with violence, Don’t believe me? Check KZfaq for better clarifications :/ In my opinion, it’s very clear that Jeffery Dahmer is in fact Sociopath
