That wasn't James Hetfield??? God damn... Had me fooled the whole interview 😅 Rush was such an awesome band. One of if not THE best band ever.

I am just so glad these guys are still together making music and touring. I have been a fan since 1977. I took my oldest son to see Rush for his first concert on their Vapor Trails Tour (which was AWESOME) and took my youngest son (who is now 11) to see them in 2010. Taking him again in November. Long Live Rush!

3:51 is my FAVORITE Geddy moment ever. The way he kinda chortles at his very slightly self-deprecating comment… just love how his spirit shines through in the instant. 😊❤️🎶

Alex is one of my absolutely most favorite guitarists ever and his playing and tone on this record are immaculate and spine tingling. I AM however a little shocked by what is going on with the poor guy's noggin!! I'm thinning at the crown too.. :S Maybe they should start playing I Think I'm Going Bald for a giggle?

The greatest band on the planet with possibly one of the best albums they've ever written (yes really), and the biggest topic is Alex's hair ? :-() For your information, baldness over 40 equals more male hormones, rhick hair over 40 equals more female hormones. He should remove that bit on the front. It's there so when he looks in the mirror he can think, "I'm not bald." Incidentally, I'm 44 and have hair like Geddy. Now let's talk about RUSH music. :-)
@nov20five2 жыл бұрын
In a 2004 interview, Geddy Lee explained: "We were touring a lot with Kiss in those days, and they had a song called 'I think I'm goin' Blind [just goin' blind].' So we were talking the piss out of that title by just coming up with this. Pratt (a nickname for Neil Peart) came up with this line, 'I think I'm going bald,' because Alex is always worried about losing his hair, even when he was not losing his hair. So he would try all kinds of ingredients to put on his scalp. And I think it just got Neil thinking about aging, even though we weren't aging yet and had no right to talk about that kind of stuff yet. It would be much more appropriate now. And it just became a kind of funny song, even though the song is not funny, in terms of sentiment, it kind of is, and the music is really goofy. A lot of people mistake us for being deadly serious, but some of our songs are just plain goofy." >>

This are the great rockers of this time, and Neil Peart belongs too! They are, I think, perfect in compositions, sounds, lyrics, power, instruments, harmony and... sympathy. This is RUSH, gratulations and thanks for first class, professional works. Please continue it!!!

It's apparent that Alex had some kind of hair transplant after this interview. He seemed to have a lot more hair on the back of his head during the Clockwork Angels tour. Almost wish he would have just shaved his head. He would look bad ass. Still, a great guy, an amazing guitarist and funny as hell.
