Sucks that they both passed so young. What a shame. One of the greatest bands of all time. They are responsible for more young people picking up instruments than just about any other band..because they proved that you didn't have to be a virtuoso in order to write good songs and be a good band.

Johnny talks in this interview about the idiots in the press who don’t know who anyone in the band is - and then this supposedly legitimate outlet misidentifies Joey as Tommy.

I think this is definitely 1981, PLEASANT DREAMS era, based on the way they look. As others have said, this is Joey and Johnny. Tommy was out of the band by this point.

& after Rocket to russia & Leave home , Pleasant dreams 3rd best album they ever made PERIOD•. You sound sick, All's quiet-e.front, don't go, she's a sensation, kkk took my baby away, 7eleven....Great l.p.

I saw Johnny a couple of times at baseball card shows on the Lower East Side in the early 80s. I never worked up the nerve to talk to him, I should have, he seems friendly here.

The Beatles had their classic songs/albums in 64-66 but The main thing ALL need to always remember is The man whom w/o they were nothing; & that man was George Martin-r.i.p. Now the Ramones next to the Beach Boys were/are The greatest rockNroll these United states ever churned out.

@@kookadams85 Totally agree. Every band has that unspoken, unofficial member that always plays a significant role. I think Johnny said that the Ramones, Beach Boys, and the Doors are the 3 best American rock ‘n’ roll bands ever. And I agree with him.
