Hey, we have a guy on the roof with a rifle, not sure if he’s friendly, he’s probably not supposed to be on that roof… We don’t have anyone on that roof… Wouldn’t you think they could just radio? Hey, go stand next to Trump for a second until we figure this out…? We watched without a shadow of a doubt, one way or another who’s fault your fault my fault. No one’s fault the Secret Service allow Trump to be shot.. permission to take the shot. No permission to take the shot. Whatever… They let that gunman get off those rounds.. they let Trump get hit…

He says if women can meet the standards of the job they should be allowed to do the job but you cannot lower the standards so they can succeed in the job. He says when you lower standards people die. I'm a female who is also retired law enforcement and since retirement I can tell you my opinion has changed. I was injured in the line of duty because a 5'7 130lb female is no match for a 6'1 180lb male hand to hand. It's just a fact. This should have been both the Police (they’ll have a local CT & events person) and the SS responsibility which they should have worked together on. The lady that was in front of him was about 2 foot shorter. So much for cover, conceal and protect. It would have made more sense to have a 6ft 4", 250lb dude covering him than a 5ft nothing, 120lb woman.

Former USSS. I agree with everything the caller stated here and will add there are other things a former doesn't have provided. The most important thing for this situation is what we call Huntsman. A helocopter with a CSU (counter surveillance) agent on board. I don't know if a former gets CSU support on the ground either. They can move around the crowd or area and observe from the ground, perhaps acting as a relay for the people who noticed the gunman. I also wonder what if any protective intelligence was involved. These events may be at too high of an ops tempo to really acquire good intel. Finally, it's absolutely true the agency bleeds people and has been for better than two decades. It's worth pointing out that the women agents from the rally were NOT at the RNConvention. In fact, I saw zero women agents in any of the RNC camera views. And it should be noted that the same male agents from the rally were still by DT45's side at the RNC, so this isn’t a matter of ALL rally agents facing some kind of change. It appears there is something specific related to the women agents happening behind the scenes.

I remember when the Airline British Airways used to hire cabin crew, you got the job on how you looked, attractive, well spoken, well presented etc.. you were issued a uniform, if you ended up not fitting into that uniform you couldn't come to work. I am commenting early before watching in full. We all know it could have done better in hindsight. I thank this former agent for his insight and explaining about the issue with resources as that certainly played a part. However I will say it is always easier in retrospect to say things about how it should could have been done. But in reality as things are unfolding events can be very confusing. As for Trump not getting up fast enough, I have to partially disagree. Trump went down and it made sense they needed to get word the treat was neutralized before he really could get up again. You don’t know what the threat is or where it is coming from at this point. You don’t know if there are two shooters, bombs etc. you also don’t want to through the crown and the scene into a total mess that would make controlling the scene more difficult. And when they did get up, which was right after the gunman was taken out, Trump delayed by requiring his shoes as well as the opportunity to gesture the crowd. He was literally resisting their attempts to move him out faster. I guess who would have thought a threat would come from the security staging area. Obviously they thought that area was secure and most likely they were making checks, but again who would have thought right from there. The gunman slipped it at an opportune time and who knows if he was even aware it actually was their staging area. They say he was a real smart kid. This it seems was that perfect storm of events coming together allowing this to get through.

I know of at least 2 teams in place! From another clip the narrator showed another team (of 2) positioned on the roof right next to the adjacent roof of the visible team. This was the team that neutralized the gunman, not the one that's visible.

This agent is FOS. Moving a 6' 3" 230lb 78 year old bleeding is not what is needed. 1st the need to check his status. 4-5 men with body armour are surrounding him, checking him to see the extent of his injuries. Unless they pick him up and carry him, which would be harder to protect, he is not jumping up and running with them and he had no shoes. They did the right thing and I'm sure were advised the shooter was down and they were looking for more targets. I'm not even sure if this guy is SS. Even if he was, he sure wasn't in charge or calling the shots. He isn't very intelligent from the way he is talking about things.

This was a SS fail. While in the military, I worked with SS on several POTUS visits. I was always on the outer perimeter, doing stuff like guarding a gate that led to the flight line and his plane. On many occasions I would be posted with a SS agent. I was surprised to find out that the SS agents I was posted with, were usually bean counters not field agents. They received the basic training in their academy but that was it. I realized real quick that if the SHTF I was going to have to stop it.

I saw it an hour after the event , then it disappeared, then it was falsely reported that there was no info on his motives or political views. 2. I’m really stunned that Trump doesn’t have his own private security too. I always assumed that he did in the White House. Is this not allowed? I've seen guards at bases allow breaches because they have to get permission to act. Times have changed. There is so much criticism of every single aspect. I've also heard certain people don't get immunity if they screw up. And you in sense have too much training on dei when resources could he spent on making sure you know your job. Everyone has a job to do and concentrate on their task. The "boss" is supposed to make sure every task is covered. If you are used to making sure pepsi has no intruders, you may not be qualified to keep intruders away from high-profile people. It's kinda like expecting an oil changer at 5 min quick lube to suddenly get a job as the ceo of GM and have zero issues. If what I'm reading is correct, it seems the ss director had many years of service, left for pepsi, then got the job as director after Jill put in for it. To me, it sounds like someone retired, took a laid back job, then decided to come out of retirement and go right into an extremely stressful position. That doesn't sound like the best scenario.
