About Tulku Phentsa Rinpoche
(pronounce as Pingzha)
ཕན་རྩ། 平扎活佛
Right now in Nangzhig Monastery they have six high lama lineages, each with its own large temple. Of the six lineages, one is the Phentsa Lama lineage. Tulku Phentsa is the Phentsa lineage senior lama, a Tulku, the reincarnation and lineage of Phentsa Lama. He was born in 1976 and became a monk at 6 years of age at Nangzhig Monastery, taking his vows from Namkha Loden
Rinpoche. At the age 13, Rinpoche was also officially recognized as "the reincarnation of Mushen Rinpoche of Mushen Clan from Jambudvīpa" (Mushen's lineage can be traced back to 18,000 years ago to the time of Buddha Tonpa Shenrab Miwoche). Phentsa Rinpoche has also received various high level training, teachings and transmissions from various important Bonpo monasteries.
