My grandfather had a 440. Dad got it when he quit farming. It worked great until it got out of time and broke a needle, it never tied right after that. Something somewhere was bent just a tiny bit.

I have another baler and it has done that same thing. It just takes time and to figure out. Thanks for watching my video!

Great job on the baler, have a 440 also. Not on this condition. Hoping to bale again soon with it. Thinking i might need to change bearings out in plunger, haven't had the courage to attack it as yet.

Thank You! The plunger should slide right out. Sometime it is easier said than done.

Do you know how to adjust the knotters? A video would be great on that
@RustIsMyFavoriteColor272Ай бұрын
Yes, A video on just the knotters would be good. Showing how to better than explaining. Thank You !

Just get the service manual for it - it's explained in there

Disappointment as the video cuts off just at the moment the knotter is tripped.

I know just one more second longer.

@@RustIsMyFavoriteColor272 I use a 430, with narrower pickup and without the pitman crank safety cover. Has the same All-Twine knotters. Hasn't been working well the last few years. The plunger doesn't run true under the pressure of packing hay so the knives gets separated too much causing the bales to stick together with uncut hay. Short alfalfa or straw is fine though as it's not long enough to cause the problem. I still use sisal twine (much more expensive than plastic) 'cause neither me nor my customers want to keep tripping over non-biodegradble loops of twine forever.
