Everyone keeps comparing it but movie acting and stage acting are completely different, you’ve got things you’ve gotta plan ahead on the stage and you’ve gotta exaggerate your movements and your words unlike in movies you constantly re-do until it’s perfect and you have auto tuning or voice correctors and what not, personally I believe that both versions each have their own personal quirks 😅☺️✨

I don’t know why, but I’m so focused on the fact that Cinderella has glasses. I’ve never seen someone on a professional stage wearing non-character related glasses. Reminds me of before I got contacts and was always the only kid on stage with glasses and I felt so awkward.

Some have suggested over the years that it might be a significant note on when she's seeing clearly versus not, especially how she takes them off upon her engagement to the prince. I don't know how much stock I put in that, but it's an interesting theory.

@@connordavis1094 The message didn't come across tho. On some parts, I didn't know they were going for a joke because other parts were so dark. It's like they couldn't decide what they wanted for their movie. Here, it is clear that it is a satire of the old folk tales, in the movie I didn't know what the fuck was happening, neither did the rest of the audience. In my country this play is not well known, that's why everyone was so confused with the movie. Disney really did screw up this.

He is 100% an important character. He is a physical manifestation of the barrier between a fairy tale and reality, which in the context of this story, was already flimsy. When he’s killed that barrier is broken.

The original Broadway production ran from November 1987 to September 1989. This was filmed in May 1989 toward the end of its run. However, it wasn't broadcast until March 1991.

Man let me tell You- I was snubbed from the role of the witch in my schools casting. The director said I was a great character actor and what's a more character character than the witch? But alas I'm simply Jack's Mother 🙃 Oh well what are ya Gunna do? Seniors take priority apperantly. At least I'm in the show and it is fun and I do like being Jack's Mother ^^ I'm just venting cause I'm just annoyed
