Welcome to the Cello! In this video, you will see diagrams of the top part of the fingerboard showing the neutral-fingerings for the notes in First Position. (Based on the "Don't Fret" fingerboard sticker)
On the "C" String - C2, D2, E2 & F2 (The notes on the "C" & "G" strings constitute a C major scale)
On the "G" String - G2, A2, B2 & C3
On the "D" String - D3, E, F#3 & G3 (The notes on the "D" & "A" strings constitute a D major scale)
On the "A" String - A3, B3, C#4 & D4
You will also See the notes displayed on a Music Staff and simultaneously Hear that note played on the Cello.
