It's a really good lecture. Simple language, to the point but still maintaining the rigor. Great work Clayton!!!

Hey Clayton, thanks for such detailed and on point presentation. Though, I have a question, why do we choose to look stresses at integration points rather looking for their values at nodal points?

Nice video! Can you tell how it would look like in the axisymmetric case?

Excellent explanation of FEA. Good Job Clayton. Can you explain what are relative Jacobi, Jrel, and min Jacobi, Jmin?

Amazing lecture series Clayton :) I have a question regarding what you mentioned at @35:15 where we claim that the Elasticity matrix C is only a function of Young's Modulus and Poisson's ratio and is constant respective to coordinate variables. While that makes sense, it's still a 4th order tensor that must transform with a change in basis (from x,y to eta/xi), even if it's components are all constants. Do all the basis transformations cancel each other such that we're left with the same constants in the eta,xi coordinate system?

Could some kind people tell me why direct integration of polynomial takes more time?? For polynomials says x**4+2x+1, the integration is immediately 1/5 x**5+x**2+x, then we only need to plugin the value at 1 and -1 and subtract them. It takes one division to do integration and one subtraction to find the value. But full integration takes 3 addition.

Hi Clayton, thanks for the nice lecture. Wouldn't our integrand be quadratic (not cubic) when we consider linear isoparametric quadrilateral elements?

@@ClaytonPettit Hi Clayton, I'm curious whether the discord server has been made. Can you please inform us using the notification?, I've already subscribe on your channel and set the notification on. You are really a gem for us here, I can't stress enough how much I'm thankful for all of your lectures. Heck, if I got the money I would pay to watch your lecture. Please don't stop making these videos, I really think you are an amazing teacher, and probably the best I've ever seen :)
