That's one Sabaton song down, next time you two should listen to everything else in just one sitting. Might not be able to sleep for the next few days because of the adrenaline rush and the ridiculously powerful sense of patriotism you'll feel for multiple countries, but it'll be worth it, I think.

Does ANYONE but me notice the little thing with the compass?.. The captain inscribes the coordinates, where he knows they will sink, into the cover of it... The sailor gets it from the captain and brings it with him when he leaves the ship and it can be seen hanging from his hand when he gets rescued by the british fleet.. . : And then the scene shifts and we see the old fisherman that brought Sabaton out to sea.. And in his hand is the compass with the coordinates...........

@@zilvertron The last surviving Bismarck crew member, Bernard Heuer, died in March 2018 at the age of 95. This song wasn't recorded until summer of 2018, several months after he died, and the video came later.

I think this is a song that greatly catches a part of history as it was. The song is slow paced, imposing, crushing, majestic, giving that feeling of overwhelming power, just like Bismarck was. Absolute the best song from SABATON imo.

You two should react to Diary of an Unknown Soldier and Lost Battalion at the same time for two reasons. The first reason is that Diary of an Unknown Soldier is the intro to Lost Battalion. And the second reason is that they used machine gun sounds for the drums which they actually named the “War Machine Drum Kit”

The Bismark sunk the HMS Hood in about 5 minutes, only 3 survivors of around 1,500 sailors. Their gun control systems couldn't cope with the slow flying torpedo planes and the Brits got a lucky hit on the Bismark's rudder which jammed it and they couldn't change course dooming them out of the box. The Brits came in and finished her off. It was actually her first voyage into the fray of WWII
