I always learn so much from you! Thanks. I didn’t get to live the life I wanted because of my personal choices and so I’m living vicariously through you folks! You’re awesome!

Loving this mineral experiment! It will be very interesting to see the results!

Yeah, looks like a French drain would be good by the barn (hopefully it's just needed in the front). Put extra gravel on top too so there's no sloppy mud on the way in. 🙂

Yes! We do plan to put in a French drain there, just not while it's raining. Lol. I have made a temporary fix until we can get to it by filling it with a bunch of sawdust for now.

I was sipping my morning coffee and almost spit it out when you answered the" how do you get a goat to step up?" LMAO I too am going to set up a mineral bar, mine should come in tomorrow.. I am excited to see which minerals they need/want the most. Which minerals are yours choosing? How are your dishes working out? I am going to use capped pvc pipe/ elbows .. we need a another video with you sharing how it is working out! ! are you part of the group that sells?

Is it not miraculous that God made these animals to know what of these minerals they need and what they don't need and how much they need.

Did I miss the part where you labeled the containers?

No you didn't miss it! She has since labeled and hung little tags on there. Great point. We will be sure to highlight the labels in a future video.

Hey Amanda, I’ve got a Boer doe that is coughing a fair bit atm. She’s about 18 months old. Can you guide me on what to do. The other 2 does do not have this problem. They’re in a paddock with 5 Dorper sheep. They have lots of good feed and she is healthy other than the coughing.

Hi there, Yvette. How long has the coughing been going on? Does it sound wet or dry? Fever? Do you have a stethoscope to listen to lung sounds? If you don't I highly recommend having one on hand. It could be anything from hay allergies to lung worms to pneumonia.

@@WelcomeGroveHomestead it sounds dry. I’ll get a stethoscope. We’re in Queensland, Australia warm humid climate. They’re on a product called bioworma for worming which is a natural wormer, but I think I might need to up the minerals. It’s been going on for about a month.

No fever, she seems completely normal except for the cough. Eating, drinking pooping and weeing normally and bullying her paddock mates

I’ll organise the vet to come out in the next few days. I was hoping it would pass but it seems it isn’t.

@Yvette Saxon I have one or two goats that have a chronic cough. I took them to the vet, who gave them antibiotics and assured me that would clear it up. That was 6 months ago. The cough never went away, except for one when the weather cooled. The cold air seems to help his lungs, so I'm guessing that he may just have a condition. He is otherwise healthy. I would still recommend getting a fecal done, just to rule out parasites. If clear, there is an essential oil product you can try, VetRx. Easily available on Amazon. Couple drops in each nostril a couple times per day and see if that helps. Good luck!

Can you really trust goats to consume what they 'need' instead of what they think 'tastes good' ? Definitely going to watch with interest :)

Hmmm, wonder if creaking in joints of humans could be helped with Boron? We are lacking so much in nutrition… bet in most cases our animals are healthier than we human caretakers!

I can't believe the science was not done on this. I don't get your point. It's just a taste test.
