Introducing a revamped AI Chat

Starting in version 1.69, Raycast AI Chat features a completely new design, that'll allow us to iterate on it quicker and introduce even more new features in the near feature. Thanks to community feedback, we're making using AI outside of the browser better for thousands of users.

Great update! Can we now pls get a button to upload documents to AI chat, and more LLMs to choose from? Especially Perplexity and Claude

Great changes - love you guys!! Subscribed to pro! I noticed 2 things: 1. When I have my tab to expand my "Search VS Code Projects", if I have my AI Tab key enabled, it takes me to AI breaking my workflow (would love to not have to assign it to a Global key and be able to use the Tab key in other nested folders). 2) It would be awesome to be able to open the chat window from the launcher *while* the ChatGPT is generating

Please add an option to use my own ChatGPT Api Key. Charging 96$ for ChatGPT 4.0 while I am already paying OpenAI for it, feels wrong!

Really cool improvements! I'm currently using my own API keys for accessing AI, as it is way cheaper and I can use it on other devices as well. If Raycast AI Chat were also available in an iOS app included in the Pro subscription, that would make me sign up instantly! (I saw on X that you recently hired an iOS dev, so my hopes are up on this becoming a reality...)

We need add the option to change chatGPT 4 turbo to Claude or perplexity. Since many of us have a subscription to one AI service and I don't want to pay for the same thing twice. If it was possible to add a subscription to Claude 3 and Perplexity in Recast it would be great.

I love the update, but I have stopped using AI Chat because it doesn't support pasting images. I use this a lot in my workflow to help me in my frontend job. I really miss using chatgpt system-wide, but now I am back to browser

I'm not seeing Raycast in CMD+Tab, what am I missing? Do I need to have Raycast showing in my Menu bar?

Raycast itself doesn't show up in ⌘ tab - it's by design. The Raycast preferences window does, that's why when it's open, you see it, but when you switch to it, you'll be taken to the preferences window and not Raycast. Since v1.69 you can also make the AI Chat window appear in ⌘ tab. To do that: Open AI Chat → ⌘ K → Disable Always on Top

Yes, AI features are only available to Raycast Pro subscribers currently.

It appears that with each AI update, the text limit for submissions seems to decrease. I used to be able to do specific tasks, but now it always tells me my text is too long. I'm a big fan of Raycast and use it frequently, but this is really disappointing.
