Brilliant idea, execution, and a great service to the community. I don’t even like artisans but am excited for those who do.

I've been thinking of trying out making artisans for a while now and your videos just might have given me that final push to do so. Kudos and thank you! :] Could you make a tutorial video on making multicolor caps? I assume it's just a process of careful measuring and letting the caps set for a certain period to make sure the different colors don't blend accidentally, but I'd still love to see how a professional goes about this.

These seem like a great idea. I've been searching for a good mold system for a while and I think these could work for me. I'm not big on artisan key caps for my main keyboard but I want a second keyboard that's 100% custom.

I love that L2K but, i want to see how can make Artisan sculpt. not only color cap.
@Hellmark
@Hellmark 4 жыл бұрын
That is all about what you put into the mold. If you sculpt something, and put it in the mold with resin, you'll be able to encase it, and end up with different designs, like how Jelly and others do

Just updating.. i have L2k , but for sculpting need master sculpting base. And that provides: Z-Butt open source project
@BoKiNaToR0o

@@pastuh would you still recommend it over the $ynth 3?
@pastuh
@pastuh 4 жыл бұрын
i planned to buy $ynth for sculpting, but never saw available :) If you not new, i suggest Z-Butt system, they have sculpting base , various size key caps. (You can buy or 3D print. And works with lego) If you order from printing company, possible they will fail with dimensions. I had this problem, but they agreed to reprint.. L2K is ok, really cheap alternative. And i think is really simple to use. For starter i suggest this. Also you can find how to do everything in videos Google: hateblo L2K , very easy to understand process

Why not just release an STL and let people print their own?
@A.Achorn
@A.Achorn 3 жыл бұрын
Why do you not provide the stl files in any way!!! Like I'd buy the stl to be fair just like I buy stls for minis but I will not pay for Shapeways to print a diy mold adapter for lego when I'm freaking sitting beside a Resin 3D printer and a pile of lego... Am I really the only one who thinks this is ridiculous!

Why doesn't someone invent a switch (Preferably with ALPS internals) that uses Lego as a mount system? 😂
