Fun fact: A lot of the times that you hear a deeper background voice, it's Jaehyeong's (the bassist) voice. Jaehyeong and Hajoon, the drummer, both have beautiful voices.

This isn't a old song it was from their 2022 album but they've been spitting out hits since 2017. Also seeing them live is something everyone should experience once in their life

Thank you for this reaction, John and Chris! Great that you went into the subtle difference between Woosung and Dojoon's vocal textures. In my mind I always identify Woosung as the raspier voice with that gorgeous texture when he's going high. Dojoon's is the smooth preppy voice and he is the belter of the two, e.g., Wonder. I love when they sing in harmony although I also wish we can have more of Jaehyong and Hajoon - they're singing backing vocals but so far into the background. I love Sour - that chorus stays with you.

This song is not too old, it came out after the other 3 members came back from military service. Also, because it’s in English it’s a safe bet that this song came out after they parted ways with their original company and set up their own independent agency, since their old agency wanted them to sing mostly in Korean. So you get a clear divide between Beauty and the Beast, which was their first release since finishing military service and half a year later you get the Sour, Childhood, Heal, all these English songs.

Kpop was always just a passing thought for me until BTS but as an alternative rock/rock fan (for years) I have fallen in love with The Rose. I wouldn’t consider them KPOP but I know lots of people do.
