Those who are old enough to remember, there was a great song back in the 1960's....."Duke of Earl" by Jean Chandler. Please note, if the grey bucket in Blue's pen is left in there for water be careful with the little jumping beans, they could fall in the bucket. Blue's eyes never left Herc, she was warning him from the moment he came in the pen, just protecting her babies. Thanks

KYLE! Blue did not do terribly. She is a mother of 3 and is trying to protect them. Herc needed to leave when that happened. Don't shame her for her instincts.

Timing is everything. You said it yourself. Bleu was preparing to take the goatlets back into the shed so that she could rest ... and the goatlets could rest too. And then Herc entered the nursery pen and she went on high alert. It's like grandparents showing up unannounced at nap time and cancelling nap time. Bleu was overtired and finally lost it, just like every overtired new mother.

I don't think Blue did terrible. She took it for quite a while actually and it seemed more a notice tap. She didn't go full force. The little girl looks like Daisy so much❤

They have grown so much in a week and a half! I love the hops so much and Blu is such a good mama. The names are very cute.❤❤❤

I like the names! They just break me up when they hop around and I think Herc did a great job with the babies and putting his mark around the pen to warn the predators so I’d say today was a huge success! ♥️🙏🏻🇨🇦

I think Blue did terrific with Herd being in the pen with her babies! They are still so new for her. She has come so far from where she started. She didn't hit him hard she was just giving him a warning to slow down.
