@@Kilohearts I agree, I actually think these guys are the best around really and are the way they do it to me, is (hopefully) the future of DAW's/plugins. The modular approach is great. It always seems to let you do what you want rather than taking features away or spending two years on making it look different. It's almost like little pieces of a DAW and they just let you put it together however you want.

It's always tempting to add more cool stuff, but just knowing how to arrange the stuff that's really central so it's useable... that's a challenge in itself. I think the development team knocked this one out of the park! :D Haha. That's a really good thought. Thanks for sharing :) Yeah, we're considering a few options in this area. For now, as with the sampler, you can set the "harmonic" to 0 and the "shift" to 440Hz (or whatever) and then use the pitch shifter snapin with the note modulator if you want to change pitch without changing playback speed. But we are aware there are less schlocky ways around this. Keep your eyes open for updates :) /George

George, the fact that some (perhaps, many) Phase Plant users are unaware Kilohearts plugins can be skinned, may make it worthwhile adding the ability to select and change skins from directly within the plugin itself. Rather than having to manually navigate to the the setup folder and substitute one ".color.conf" file for another (great to have that ability, but its implementation is rather 'fiddly'). How convenient would it be to instead store multiple skins (with different file names) all together into a single location such as a ...\Documents\Kilohearts\Skins\ subfolder and then be able to cycle through these different skins, while using the plugin? Or perhaps, even eventually, modify/tweak the skins themselves, using the plugin? But one step at a time...

I'm more than sure you will find a way to do it; you're surpassing your selves each time!!! Btw, been using the granulator all the day long non stop 24/7... Man... that granulator you did is amazing. Did some cool sounds like those super sci-fi film-like, pads :) Which Btw... Analogs can also be granulized if the granulator has a sample but harmonics set to 0x by using FM or RM (I guess is RM). Using Random LFOs set to Unison -> independent + global unison, linked to I don't know... the position, time, anything... creates more and more grains!!! Also linking Note Modulator to the spreading of the grains along the sample allows to balance grains fadding if they sound too sharp at higher pitch notes! What ould kHs do next!?!?!? Are you thinking on a granulator but as modulator!?!?!?!? Random LFO on Steroids???? Send a huge hug and hug thanks to all the kHs Team. Love them a lot for what they do!!!

Ahhh! Hahaha :) I'm so delighted to see this comment. You have no idea the disproportionate amount of time we spent discussing this, right up to like an hour before releasing the update :D I'm a somewhat nerdy Western Classical Music guy, and I bristled the same as you at the dominant 7 being labelled major 7. You'll be pleased to know it isn't called that in the plugin any more. It's still wrong, but less wrong, and in a different way. We decided that, since these "chord" modes exist in Phase Plant outside of the context of classical compositional key structure, and might indeed be used in Phase Plant to make other kinds of music, or just to chug along as individual, harmonically uncontextualised chords/arps on their own, the least worst way to label the chords was to note the major/minor valence of both the third and the seventh in each case. So we end up with "minor min 7", "minor maj 7", "major min 7", and "major maj 7"... which sucks, obviously, but we thought it was the least objectively incorrect way to do it, and also the most comprehensible for most people, without assuming their prior musical tradition or parlance. I'm glad I'm not the only one though :D Thanks for commenting! /George

That's a good one. There's a unison mode in Phase Plant called Shepard which you could investigate. Otherwise, stack some sine octaves, and start modulating the "shift" parameter :) Hours (days) of fun! /George
