Meet Sara Haghighat-Joo
Hailing from Coquitlam British Columbia, Sara now trains in Guelph Ontario and is the #1 ranked fighter at 54kg in both Canada and Ireland. Sara made Team Ireland and was training for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
In her words :
"This (boxing) is my full time life right now. I train two to three times a day, six days a week. If I'm not training I might run a couple of classes here and there just to stay engaged in the sport and then I also coach as a volunteer on the side. For me I'm living the dream. I'm hoping to go to either the 2020 or 2024 Olympics and this is what it takes. You need to be a full time athlete which means, I can't really have a side job at the same time."

“All Female Card” is still in production and we believe that now more than ever the world needs to see more stories of women succeeding. These are stories of women who overcame all sorts of odds: domestic abuse, raising children as a single mother, pregnancy, growing up the daughter of an undocumented immigrant, losing a race for mayor in a major metropolitan city, and so much more. Their stories are stories of strength and immense vulnerability and have been overlooked for far too long. Some may see this as a boxing film but we see “All Female Card” as a film about one women’s journey to empower ALL women, and bring as many people as possible to support that process. That’s where you come in. Join us in highlighting women who are paving the way throughout their communities and beyond.
