Cleft babies have a lot harder time learning how to eat solid food. Depending on the severity of their cleft and if they've had any of their repairs, they have to think and work harder to figure out how to use their mouth correctly. In this video, I go over what our experience was when we first introduced solids to our cleft cutie, Levi. I also give some helpful tips that made a huge difference for us. Thank u so very much for this vedio am from Uganda honestly this is my second child and he has cleft hands and cleft palate this is really hard to see him pass thru this his four months now and 4 kgs gaining weight is tough but all in all am getting stronger each and every day

My baby also have the cleft palate only boy baby weight 2.420 gram 1 month ago born he notsucking how to feed milk he notget straight feeding then using cleft palate bottle that also not use how to givemilk

when I give thick food the baby chokes like she cant breathe anymore i get nervous its a tiny hole in her soft palate no cracks around the roof of the mouth I'm searching for the bottle is it called a special needs bottle?

Here’s a video I made about the specialty feeding system bottles and where to find them! I understand how scary it gets when your baby is choking. Just take it slow and try using hard munchables like I mentioned in this video. Maybe your baby just doesn’t know what to do with the food once it’s in her mouth. when I give anythin even liquids she take it out of the nose and cry like she can't swallow well what should I do need 10 kilo for operation not gaining weight 😭
